Chapter 17

(You P.O.V)

"So... uh you like me? " He asked

I nodded, heat rising to my cheeks.

"Y/n..." I turned my head to meet his glossy baby blue eyes

He started to lean in as I did the same we both closed our eyes in the process.

Once our lips finally met I wrapped my arms around his neck to deepen the kiss, we were soon interrupted but a slight 'cough' in the entrance. We both stiffened and pushed each other away, Mikey quickly grabbed my trey and got up from his seat.

"So um see you later I guess..." Mikey trailed off ,exiting the lab.

"Sorry, didn't mean to ruin the the moment." Donnie said as he rubbed the back of his head.

"N-No it's fine."

He soon did his daily check up and soon left, Val stop by and brought by some new clothing and a small 'Get Well' card from my mother. I smiled knowing that it's great to know that she still thinks about me. Once Val left I was left in the room by myself again. And tried to remember what Donnie told me during the check up...

"Well it seems that you're legs are perfectly fine now, but are still weak for not walking on them for a while but it's normal. So we will start you're exercises in 2 days, we'll have you're legs rest so they won't be pushed too hard."

"What if we start today?" I asked

"Well you're legs would be fine during the process but it's best to let them rest for a bit more so we won't take any chances."

"Oh."

"So take it easy for now and I'll be back in an hour to check up again."

"Okay, see you soon."

And just like that he left, once he shut the door I sat up and grabbed my hair tie on my wrist and put my hair in a ponytail.

I pulled the covers off of my lower part of my body. The cool air brushed against my sore legs, I shivered at the moment.

I looked down at my toes and stared at them.

I started , well more like trying to wiggle my toes to get at least something moving while I was is bed.

"Come on, just move already!" I complained

I felt a light small thump from my big toe, I did it once more and there was a feeling.

Minutes past and I could finally move my toes , I fell back and let the pillows softly consume my head and neck.

With a smile growing from my lips I let a small giggle, happy that I can at least move my toes. Which is a start for me walking again.

Wait, what if I can walk right now? Donnie did say it wouldn't do any damage,my legs are healed righted? I thought

"No I can't go against Donnie's orders, oh shut up Y/n just start walking." I mumbled

I grabbed my legs and slid them to the side of the bed so now they are dangling. I gripped the sheets as hard as I could and let my feet touch the icy concrete floor.

The feeling of the coldness by the concrete floor rushed through my body quick. Leaving me to let a small squeal escape from my lips.

Once my feet were fully on the ground I pushed myself off the bed and lunged myself onto a nearby desk.

I rest my shoulders and started to use the desk to hold me up. I started to lift my legs little by little, at this point I was shuffling my feet. I lift my arms up just a bit so I could stand up straight maybe that would help just a bit.

I started to slowly walk towards the while holding tightly to the edges of the desk, once I made it to the corner of the desk I started to get a little heated. I really don't want to fall and hit the ground but I need to try to make it to the door.

I took a deep breath and let go of the desk, I held out my arms side to side to keep my balance as if I'm walking on a tight rope. I made sure I was straight and started to walk very slow. I can see that I was getting closer, and closer to the door with every step I took which filled me with determination. Once I made it I slid open the door and smiled, But once I looked down that was soon ended to see that there was steps that I had to walk on the make it on the flat surface.

"Shit..." I said.

I started to make my way down the stairs , I was pretty amazed that I made it in so short amount of time. My breath started to hitch just bit on how much work I am putting in to this.

"I might as well walk to the kitchen to grab a slice of pizza."

I head to the kitchen hopefully not running into any of the turtles while I was there, I'm not in a mood to hear a lecture.

It wasn't to long until I made it to the fridge and I was lucky enough not to run into any of the guys.

I quickly opened the the fridge and grabbed the pizza box , then shuffled my way to a kitchen seat to sit down.

Once my bottom touched the seat I let out a breath of relief.

"YES!" I shouted

I quickly slapped my hand over my mouth hoping no one heard that.

I opened the box of pizza to see a nice tan crust, with divine cheese, and definitely can't forget the top notch pepperonis that were the best toppings. Not only that but it was from Antonio's Pizza, my favorite pizzeria, I made sure I had a good strong scent of the pizza before I was gonna devour it .

My mouth started to sting and started to water.

I took my hand and grabbed a slice of pizza and bite a huge chunk out of it.

"I haven't had this in forever!" I said in content.

"Y/n? How did you get in here?"

Without hesitation I started to choke on my chunk of food in my mouth.

Once I calmed down a bit I swallowed the piece of food and let out a breath of air. I turned around to see Mikey confused.

"Oh I um... uh..." I started to trail off.

"Can you really walk now?!" He chirped.

"Yes well sort of, I'm still struggling just a bit. Donnie told me to rest for 2 more days but I couldn't take it anymore. I need to move around. And I was just wanted to eat something..."

"Well here let me help you, I don't want you to get in trouble. You really should listen, Y/n." He scolded.

"I know, just help me so I can go back to the lab before he notices."

"That won't be necessary Mikey."

I tilted my back a little bit to see who was at the entrance.

My eyes widened in fear.

It was Donnie.....
