Welcome to Defying Fate. This will replace the completed Guardian Angel as my main series. Don't worry, soaking in Summer will still be updated. I'm going to make sure that this story will be awesome, hopefully. I will go through, and edit the whole chapter, maybe change some things to fit what I had in mind for the story next.
For my whole career on Wattpad, I realized, all my stories were super short except for my most read one that my partner and I have together, as well as my partner's book. I then realized that my writing style is really rushed, so with this fanfic, I hope to make it at least 20 chapters. That is my goal. I hope you enjoy this series! Let's get started already! I just hope it isn't cheesy!
Disclaimer: Sadly, I'm not the owner of the beloved Pokemon, I am only a fangirl, who enjoys writing and reading fanfiction about the show!
ACT ONE: THE AWAKENINGS
+++++++++++++++++++++++++
"A long time ago, there was a prince. His name was Nicholas Shu. The Shu family ruled over all of the regions of Grauldia, the world we live in. It was arranged that he would be marrying the daughter of Hoenn's most noble family, Aleishia Wakana.
However, fate was too cruel. Nicholas loved another. Aleishia's hand maiden, April Haruka. She was a simple girl. Very kind, very modest. She spoke her mind, which was very uncommon back then. Aleishia and April were best friends, but while Aleishia was head over heels for Nicholas, April didn't like him. They fought frequently until that one day, in the midst of an argument, Nicholas had her pinned against a wall, their faces inches from each other. Before they knew it, his lips were on hers.
Aleishia found them, and became grieved with the feelings of betrayal and jealousy. She had known Nicholas didn't love her, but she never thought that he was in love with her hand maiden. Aleishia was so distraught, she threw them in her dungeons, and ordered them to be executed the following day.
Aleishia couldn't fall asleep that night. In the dungeons, the chains that bound April and Nicholas, were keeping them apart. They were thrown into the same cell, but the chains they were shackled in, teased them. They couldn't reach each other, just out of each others grasp. April spent almost the whole night sobbing hysterically in distress, trying to get to Nicholas. However it was in vain. Nicholas tried to comfort her early on, but soon found himself struggling to keep from breaking down too, because he couldn't touch her. He couldn't help her, or hold her before they died.
The next day came, none of the three slept a wink. April and Nicholas were brought out into the town square, charged with treason. Nicholas's death was cruel. He was hung. April watched as his outstretched arm tried to reach her. Their fingertips briefly brushed, causing sparks to whisk down their spines.
The worst part was, they forced her to watch the man she just recently realized she loved, get hanged. Aleishia came up to April, and slapped her. She yelled at her hand maiden about the jealousy she felt towards her. April then received the most painful death. She was burned at the stake, her screams and cries echoed through the whole town.
News soon reached the King and Queen of Grauldia. They were furious about their son's betrayal, and dishonor. Even more so, they were enraged with Aleishia. They didn't kill her, but they had her whipped in the capital's square, she was also whipped in the feet, so she could never walk again.
The most important thing that happened was that this situation caught the eyes of the legendary Pokemon creators of Grauldia, Arceus, the creator of life, and Dialga, the creator of time. They too were lovers that were star crossed. They lived in different dimensions, unable to reach each other. They took pity on the humans.
