what am i doing. so this is set when bash was temporarily legitimized and i temporarily shipped mash before going back to fash. so basically before no one cared that he and a servant girl where having an affair because he was the bastard son, etc. but when he's legitimized, more's expected of him and he has to 'abort ship'. however, alash/balice comes back when he loves her too much and all that amazing fluff.
