                          Mitch's POV

                          I step out of my house, hood up and headphones in. It was going to be the beginning of a new school year. Senior year. And I was moving on with 2 of my closest friends. I walk down the street, meeting my friend Jason along the way.
                          Well you only need the light when it's burning low
Only miss the sun when it starts to snow

                          "Hey Mitch." Jason says, faking his usual cheer. I muster a smile, and wave to him. "Hey man. I know the last 3 years were tough. But you, me and Ty are gonna get through this together, okay?" He states. "Yeah, okay." I begin. He stared at me. "Okay, I trust you." I mumble.
                          Staring at the bottom of your glass
Hoping one day you'll make a dream last
But dreams come slow and they go so fast
You see him when you close your eyes
Maybe one day you'll understand why
Everything you touch, oh it dies
                          Ty opens the door quickly, running down the stairs as a stapler get thrown out of the doorway. Ty dodges it, before charging over to us and grabbing our wrists, dragging us behind him. He ends up ripping my headphones out of my ears by doing so. "Oi! Ty! You ripped my headphones out!" I whine. "Too bad! No headphones for you today Mr. Mitchell." Ty remarks.

                          Jason and I laugh as Ty lets us come to a hault. "So how's life Deadlox? Ya know, besides almost getting killed by a stapler." I comment. Ty rolls his eyes. "Oh ya know.. Same as always. How 'bout you?" He responds, punching me gently in the shoulder. "Could be better. Considering that fact that I..... Nevermind.." I say, cutting myself off as I spot the cutest person ever seen.
                          Staring at the ceiling in the dark
Same old empty feeling in your heart

                          "Oo! Mitchy's got a crush on Mr. Popular!" Jason teases, poking at my ribcage. I smack his hand away from me. "No I don't!" I attempt to save myself from utter humiliation. "Uh-huh. Oh! There goes Alex. And Adam..." Jason says, his voice fading as he got to Adam's name.

                          "Whatever. Keep dreaming Jason. They've all got girlfriends.." Ty say sadly. I wasn't going to deal with this much depression and sadness this year. "I.. No. We're getting them to like us. This year. No matter HOW long it takes. We're getting it done." I state, pulling my hood off my head. A few students stopped and gasped. A few being the most popular kids in the whole school.

                          "Oh, look at that! Mr. I-listen-to-music-to-get-over-my-depression is finally showing his face again! Isn't that right Alex?" Adam says slickly. "You can try and hurt us this year Adam. But we've become immune to your punches. Alex's shin-kicks, and Jerome's bone-breaking shoves." I say slyly. Ty and Jason smile up at me.

                          Jerome shoves me, hard enough to knock me into Jason and Ty. Ty catches me before I fall. Jason growls at them. "Awe.. How cute. Gay boy here likes to growl when we hurt his friends!" Jerome smirks. The three close in on us. And that's when all HELL broke loose.
