April 7th, 2017 –

Filming for Infinity War had finally commenced, and you were so excited to be reunited with your massive Marvel family. Most of you planned to meet up a few days before filming actually started, so you and Sebastian made your way to Atlanta after the first week of April.

"Who are you most excited to see at dinner tomorrow night?"

"Definitely Tom, the kid has been so busy with Spider-Man, he's barely had time to hang out! So excited for him, though. The movie looks amazing."

"Agreed. I'm excited to finally meet Benedict; Dr. Strange was frickin' amazing!" You laughed, reminiscing on the weekend you two had decided to stay in, and watch all of your future co-stars' films.

"Yes, it was! I'm really excited to see Chris – Pratt, not Evans, my god! The man basically lives with us, haha. Pratt is a godsend, he's so funny." Sebastian rolled his eyes, laughing when you punched him in the arm.

"Hey! Am I not allowed to be slightly bothered that my girlfriend is calling another man a godsend? What does that make me, hm?" You giggled, brushing your nose against Sebastian's before pulling him in for a kiss. As you pulled away, you pressed a quick peck to his forehead, smiling as you watched him blush.

"It makes you the man I love, goofball. Now, please let me get some sleep on this flight. I'm so tired,"

- Seb's POV

As soon as she fell asleep, I got up, opening our overhead compartment to grab something from my bag. As soon as I felt the velvet box, I pulled it out, tucking it in my jacket pocket before shutting the door. After sitting back down, and adjusting the blanket I had covered Y/N with, I pulled out the card I had tucked into my pocket late last night.

It was a note Chadwick had left with Y/N, for me, "when the time was right", as she told me. She showed me the note he had written her, and it said so at the bottom, so I believed her. When I had read it last night, I could barely believe it. He left me a ring to give to her, when I thought the time was right. How am I supposed to know when the time is right? I've been in love with Y/N for the past, what, two years? I mean, probably longer, considering I'm a stubborn idiot. Her and my words, actually. Amazing how alike we are.

The past 6 months have been unbelievable. Y/N and Chad had coordinated public statements over the break-up for the press, and we decided to keep things under wraps until things blew over. But, it turned out we didn't have to wait too long. As soon as fans got wind of their breakup, they took to every social media platform out there, letting us know just how much they wanted to see us together. We were still scared, considering Hollywood and all the lovely backlash we were both likely to receive, but eventually, after 3 months, we gave in, letting slip on Instagram that we were, indeed, together. And they loved it.

Not a single negative comment appeared on our social media about our relationship – even our families were excited! We were both genuinely shocked but also so happy that everyone supported us – including Chadwick. He had sent us texts congratulating us on making it official, and wishing us the best of luck on the rest of journey. That was when I found out about the box. Y/N handed it to me very casually, mumbling something about how she completely forgot about it until now, and she promised she hadn't read my card. I was confused at first, to say the least.

When I got some time alone, I opened the velvet case first, finding the rose-gold ring nestled in the center. It was encrusted with small diamonds, and the inside of the band was engraved with her favorite phrase in Italian – veni, vidi, amavi. Y/N's always been a sucker for romance, even if she doesn't act like it. After reading Chad's card, I decided I'd use it as her engagement ring; she always complained to me about how jewelry, to her, didn't need to be flashy or big, to show one's love. That's why I knew she would love it when I proposed.
