"i had the surgery about a week ago, and i couldn't really go to school after because my eyes had to heal and i kept it a secret from you guys so i didn't want you to find out.. so i pretended to be sick so none of you would find out."
"my clever boy, we had no clue."
"good." i grinned cheekily, causing him to smile and roll his eyes playfully.
