A woman with a messy ponytail and oval glasses greeted him with a large grin. This woman happened to be Eren's quite eccentric boss, who in his opinion, was a bit much.
"Hey Ms. Zoe."
He waved at her when he walked in with a tired smile. Eren wore a simple dark green shirt with some jeans on that he had found on the floor and deemed suitable enough to wear. He had thrown in some converse and walked out the door with his hair in a messy ponytail, looking like a sleep deprived college student. Hange gasped at his appearance.
"Eren! Even though it's your fourth day on the job, call me Hange! Please! Also, have you been sleeping? I know how hectic college could get! Make sure you go to sleep okay?"
She begged him as he simply nodded with a sloppy grin.
"Sure I guess..."
He said, walking away as he went over to the 'Employees Only' room. Eren had just entered the daycare before it was opening time, at 7:45am if we wanted to be specific. So at this time of the day, it was a bit dark outside with the rising sun slowly warming the cold air that seemed to always be present in Chicago. Outside, there was the occasional stray cat or dog running around, some of them pawing at the door, which Hange gladly let inside to feed them.
It was a kind habit she had ever since she was little. Hange would always let strays into her home or at work to give them some shelter from the elements outside, which was why they had a separate room for any strays. But we would get into that later. Right now, let's focus the attention back on Eren, shall we?
Eren, who opened the door to the 'Employees Only' room, sighed once he had reached it, going over to the coffee machine in the lounge to get his daily fix of the caffeine beverage. The room for the employees was huge; having a red semi-circle couch that was incredibly comfy enough to sleep on, in front of the half-circle couch was a Flatscreen TV, courtesy of Hange herself as well as some video games. This room was a place where after all the kids were gone or weren't there, anyone could go behind in and just relax before going home.
It was possible to let kids be in here, just as long as they cleaned up and the kids had to be 9-13. The daycare occasionally had the parent that would drop off their children that were in the age range even though the daycare took care of babies and toddlers. So being the nice person Hange was, she had made a room for the kids and employees to just lounge around.
