Adira's POV

I watched as they dragged the man to the palace although I was angry that he got my family killed there was something inside me that just couldn't help but be a bit curious.

All these questions kept turning and churning inside me. Where did he come from? How did he find us? Why was he being chased?

My thoughts came to an end when a hand grabbed my shoulder, I turned around to be met by a guard.

She was blocking me from entering the room they had taken the man to." What are you doing?" I asked with worry in my voice.

"I'm sorry princess but the queen has asked for you not to be present for the interrogation or to even talk to the man."she spat the last word as if it was venom.

I sighed "ok, thank you for telling me" I then turn around and my frown turned into a smirk.

I ran towards upstairs and went inside a room but not just any room it was right above where the man was being interrogated. I lifted a block from the ground and placed it down besides me.

I laid down on my belly and looked through the whole that the block was to fine the man tied with the lasso of truth. He was swarmed by woman, he was asked many questions and although he tried to resist he told us the truth.

The lasso of truth made him but as I stared at him I was devastated, I didn't want him to get hurt.

From what I could hear his name was Steve Trevor and he was a spy. He needs to get back to his home so he can give people some information that could save millions of lives but not only that there was a war going on that we didn't even know about.

After that was over I went downstairs to try and reason with my mother but it seems that I wasn't the only one who didn't agree with them.

Diana also tried to reason but my mom shut her idea down.

"Mother please try to be reasonable, if we do not let him go thousands if not millions will die." I said

"Ares could be the one that's behind this and it's our duty to defeat him it's our purpose, I could go and accompany him to make sure he doesn't say anything about this place."Diana said to back me up

"I will not allow it" the queen said and walked away.

After that Diana also walked away and I had a pretty good idea of where she was heading(to see Steve Trevor), I think this is what they call love but I'm not sure I have only read about it in books.

It was night time but I couldn't sleep so I stayed awake reading a book until I heard horses. I looked out the window and realized it was my mother going down by the ocean.

I couldn't help but be curious so I got out of bed and rushed towards the ocean and there I saw my sister saying goodbye to my mother.

My eyes got watery as I ran towards Diana to giver a big hug.

"Don't get into to much trouble while I'm gone"she said with a smile

"I'm going to miss you, please don't forget to come back for me." I told her trying to fight the tears that I was holding back.

Diana just smiled and kissed my forehead as she told me "I'll miss you sister" with that she left with the man on a boat.

I knew why she had said that it was because we both knew that because she left she might never come.

"Come Adira it's getting late you need your rest" my mother said as she dragged me back to the palace.

As I looked to the ground I thought of something
You might not come back sister but I'll make sure that next time I see you I'll make you proud, I will be a strong warrior.
