*(B/F/N)=Best Friend's Name

(S/B/F/N)=Second Best Friend's Name

You walked through the magical barrier between platforms 9 and 10 at King's Cross Station, eager to begin your fifth year at Hogwarts. You looked around the platform for a while, excited to finally see your friends, but you couldn't find them. You figured they might have already gotten on the train to save a compartment, so you climbed on board and continued looking. You finally saw your friend (B/F/N) waving at you from the back of the train. As you made your way over, you felt someone bump into you, causing you to fall.

"I'm so sorry! I didn't see you there." The person said, holding out a hand to help you to your feet. You looked up to see who it was. Your eyes met stunning green ones, framed by round glasses, just under a lightning-shaped scar that could only belong to one person- Harry Potter.

"It's not a problem, no harm done." You smiled at him and took his hand, blushing slightly at the contact. You had fancied Harry since third year, and all your friends knew it, but you knew that almost every girl in the school was already chasing after the Chosen One, so you didn't pay much attention to those feelings. You let go of Harry's hand and gave him a small smile before heading back to your friends' compartment.

"(Y/N), what was that?!" (B/F/N) asked you excitedly.

"Come on, it's nothing." You told her, trying to suppress a grin yourself.

"Didn't look like nothing to me." (S/B/F/N) smirked.

You and your two best friends sat at the Ravenclaw table, watching the new first years standing nervously, waiting to get sorted. You cheered any time a new student joined your table, but you spent most of the ceremony trying to steal quick glances at the famous Harry Potter. It was really difficult, though, to see through the crowd of other students' heads. One of the few times you managed to catch a glimpse, you thought you saw him hurriedly look away from your direction. You silently smiled to yourself and began to eat as the food had appeared on the tables.

After you had finished eating, you saw the students around you start to get up, groups of first years both eagerly and cautiously following the prefects to their respective dormitories. You, (B/F/N), and (S/B/F/N) stood up, following suit with the rest of the houses. You looked over at the Gryffindor table, but couldn't see any sign of the person you were looking for. You mentally scolded yourself- you didn't have a chance with him. Plus, you knew Cho Chang had a thing for him as well. Surely, if he wanted to choose, he would pick her. After all, she was super smart and pretty, so why should he choose you?

You were interrupted from your thoughts when you felt (S/B/F/N) nudge you. You looked up to see Harry Potter pushing through the crowd, heading in your direction. He was panting by the time he got to you.

"Hey," He breathed. "(Y/N), isn't it?"

"Yeah," You responded quickly. "What's up?"

"Well, I was wondering if you'd fancy meeting me by the lake tomorrow after breakfast?" He asked with a small smile on his face. You looked at your friends, who were nodding eagerly.

"Sure, Harry. I'll see you there." You responded sweetly, smiling as he went back to the group of Gryffindors heading for their common room.

Your friends were fangirling while you were walking up the stairs to Ravenclaw Tower, and you spent the remainder of the trip grinning widely. The door asked a riddle and the people at the front of the group worked together to figure it out as quickly as possible. Soon a flood of students poured into the common room. You, (B/F/N), and (S/B/F/N) went through the door to your dormitory and you all sat on your beds. (B/F/N) spoke first.
