Part 21

Om was walking to and fro in the hospital.  Only Shivaay was there with him. Others had gone back to the mansion.

Doctor came out. 

Om: doctor Gauri kaizi hai?

By seeing the expression in doctor's face Om guessed something was bad.

But he hoped it was not so. He didnt want to lose Gauri.

Doctor : I'm sorry Mr. Oberoi.
Aapki wife......

Om gulped.

Doctor : aapki wife comma main chali gayi.

Om closed his eyes wishing that it was a nightmare and everything would be alright when he opens his eyes.

But for his dismay nothing happened like that.

"No.... No.... Gauri... " tears slipped from his eyes and the only thing he could do was to sit and cry.

" om sambhaal apne apko" Shivaay tried to console him.

He got a call and got irritated.
He rejected it.

Again it ringed and he took it.

"Dekho Khanna is wakt kuch nahi kar sakta baad main call karo. "

Os: sir ek important baat hai.

" Is wakt kuch important nahi hai. "
He was going to cut the call when Khanna told something and Shivaay got shocked.

" Aunty aap kuch to khaiye.  Aise kab tak baithi rahogi? " Anika said.

" Nahi beta.  Jab tak Gauri theek nahi hothi main kuch nahi kha sakthi.
Wo meri sahara thi.  Jab mere pati aur meri gudiya mujhe chodke duniya se chali gayi
Usne mujhe jeene ka wajah diya. "

She cried.

Anika got a call from Shivaay.

" Anika... Gauri comma main chali gayi. "

" kya!!!! " she shouted.  The phone slipped from her hands.

" Kya kaha Shivaay ne? "

" Dadi... Shivaay ne bola ki Gauri comma main chali gayi. " she said choking.

" Gauri!!!!!!! " her mother fainted.

Everyone was tensed and took her to room.
One person got relief hearing this and smiled.

At the same time another person got shocked and ran from there.

Suddenly someone pulled the person to a room and closed the door.

" Rudra!!!!! " the person shrieked.

" Haa main.. Saumya" he said bitterly.

"Tum ro kyun rahi ho? Batao.... Aisa kya kand kiya ki tumhari ankhon se aansoo ruk nahi rahi hai.? Jiski wajah se tum hum sabse nazrein nahi mila pa rahi ho? " he asked by holding her shoulders tightly.

She didn't have any answer.

He pushed her down.

"K! yun kiya tumne aisa.  Mujhe tumpe bharosa tha.

Tum itna kaise gir gayi?" he asked.

"I'm sorry Rudra.  Mere paas aur koi option nHi tha. "

" option nahi tha?  What a lame excuse. 

"Mujhe maaf kardo pls... " she pleaded.

" Galti meri hai. Maine tumpe bharosa  kiya ye jaanne ke bavjood bhi ki tum Svetlana ke saath hai. "

Saumya looked at him shocked.

" Haan.  Mujhe sab kuch tab pata chal gaya jab tum wapas iss ghar main aayi.  Lekin mujhe tumpe barosa tha ki tum humare parivar ko kuch nahi karogi.

"Jab maine Svetlana ko tumse ye kehte hue suna ki Anika bhabhi ko balcony se push karo to mujhe yakeen tha ki tum aisa nahi karogi.  Meri galti.

Main tumhari madad karna chahthi thi. Lekin......

Infact tumne Anika bhabhi ko nahi balki Gauri bhabhi ko dhakka mara.

Kyun kiya tumne aisa Kyun diya tumne uska saath? " he shouted.

"Maine dhakka nahi mRa. Main... Main explain kar sakti hoon.

" Ab kuch nahi ho saktaa Saumya. " he left her

" Rudra.... Svetlana meri BEHEN HAIIII!!! "

Gauri's mother was sleeping.

Shivay came to the room and sat near the bed.  He took her hands in his thinking something.

She opened her eyes and was surprised to see him.

" Beta aap? "

" Aunty... Dont worry. Gauri will be alright. "

She bowed her head letting the tears flow.

" Mujhe nahi pata main aapse kaise kahoon... "
He was struggling with words.

Anika came tgere to give tea to Aunty and saw them talking.  They didnt see her.

" Aunty... Apki ek beti aapse door jaa rahi hai aur ako apni doosri beti mil rahi hai. "

" Matlab? "

" Aunty apki mari hui beti Zinda hai. "

" kya... Kya kehna chahthe he aap"

"Aunty.... 20 saal pehle aapne ek accident main apne 2nd husband aur beti ko kho diya.  Lekin wo beti aaj bhi zinda hai.  Humare saath, humare paas. " he finished.

She looked at him shocked and confused.

" Anika aapki beti hai. "

They heard the breaking of a cup.
