Yellow Rain Jacket and Purple Boots

I was an explorer in my yellow rain jacket
And my purple rain boots.

I waded through puddles
Swamps
and
Danced underneath the falling rain.

Though
I may be young
I am still fearless.

As I travel the path only known in my imagination
I see men being dragged by wild dogs, and monkeys in the trees.

It's not until later,
I see a tower of smoke in the direction of home.
I tromp back through the jungle,
Back to my waiting mother.
