So this is taking place about a week ago, for the sake of the storyline. Happy late 21st birthday my dude. From the way it seemed, sounded like it was one for the books 👌

The rest were just scrambles between everyone else, but those came from the ones that honestly enjoyed clicking on my caller ID. Wow, I didn't know I was cared about that much. I sighed as I scrolled through the texts. Mostly we're just a series of "are you ok" and "where are you." I've locked myself in my room, too embarrassed to go outside.

It's been like four days since I've left my bed for anything other than food and the bathroom down the hall. Two days since the incident with David.

Is that very unrealistic? Yes, but no one said it was impossible.

I keep thinking about it, and it was eating me alive. Part of it being I feel like I hurt him, and also that's all I can think about. Did I lose him?

I looked down at my phone, sighing seeing David's picture on the screen. I picked it up and pressed answer, holding my phone to my ear.

"Hello," I mumbled, and I could have sworn I heard David gasp.

"Oh wow...I didn't think you'd answer the phone," he replied. I laughed a little too before I remembered what happened. I closed my mouth and sighed hard.

"David I'm so sorry about what happened. I didn't mean it the way...you know that right?" I started speaking and apologizing so fast to where I could barely even comprehend the words I was saying. David started to laugh and I groaned loudly. "David it's not funny. I feel really bad about this."

"This is the reason you've set up camp in your apartment these last four days," David asked. My face flushed in embarrassment and I tucked an imaginary piece of hair behind my ear.

"Uh...no," I said, but it came out more like a question. David chuckled and I just rolled my eyes. "David-."

"Listen, Rowan. It's fine, we're fine. It's not like I could stop talking to you anyways. Like I said, I'd miss your teasing," he joked around with me and I smiled.

Fuck, how I missed joking around with him

"Save the mushy shit for someone who'll actually return it," I joked back, and I smiled when I heard him laugh.

I missed this so much

"So, my birthday's this weekend, we're celebrating it in Vegas. All of us are heading out tomorrow," he started, and I smirked. Of course I knew it was his birthday. I would never forget it, especially since it was his 21st.

"So is this an invitation or are you trying to get me to house sit," I asked. I could basically feel his smirk through the phone and it made me smile even wider.

"What do you think?"

"I would like to think that's an invitation, right," I asked, and he just laughed again. I don't know how I found the strength, but I ended up walking outside of my bedroom and sat on the couch next to Gabbie. She looked at me with her eyebrows raised and a smile on her face. Clearly she was excited that I was up and at it again.

Gabbie started to hit my hand, clearly wanted to talk to me. I mumbled a quick "one second" to David before he answered me and covered the phone with my hand.

"What," I hissed at her, Gabbie just smiled.

"So you're going with us tomorrow?" I nodded in reply and she squealed. "Awesome! Ugh, we got to shopping with Liza and Kristen tonight, find some cute outfits. Ugh, this is going to be fucking awesome," she smiled before inning to her room, probably to text Liza and tell her I wasn't dead. I rolled my eyes before holding my phone to my ear again.

"Sorry about that David," I apologized. "That was just Gabbie, being...Gabbie." I rose my brow as I said that. I couldn't find another word for the way she acted sometimes.

"Nah you're fine. But, I have one extra seat in the Tesla," he urged me to ride with him, and I just smiled a little.

"I don't know, David. I'd probably have to ask Gabbie if I could," I joked, he just groaned in reply.

"Whatever, Row. Gabbie won't give two shits who you ride with. No matter how much she hates to admit it, she trusts me with you. She trusts all of us with someone who she basically claimed as her little sister," he replied, and I smiled. Gabbie feels that way? "So? You riding with me or not?"

"Yeah I guess. I haven't annoyed you in four days. I guess this four hour car ride can make up for it," I replied, leaning back against the couch. "So I'll see you later? At Scotty's," I asked as a smile spread across my face. My heart fluttered when I heard him chuckle.

"Yeah, I'll see you later Rowan," he replied before he hung up. I sighed out heavily and stared up at the ceiling for awhile. I closed my eyes and I just...I smiled.

Which is weird, I know. No one exactly just stares at a ceiling and smiles like some dumbass. It's whatever though, because at this point, nothing could go wrong now.

My fear of losing David can now go back to the deeper depths of my fucked up mind.

I gasped when I felt a hand nudge me so hard that I fell off the couch. I looked up at him, staring at Gabbie above me.

"What the fuck Gabbie," I asked her, pulling myself off of the floor. She giggled in reply.

"Liza's on the way, we're going shopping," she slapped her hands on my shoulder with a smile on her face.

"Alright," I replied, walking towards my room to make myself look presentable for the outside world. "That's good, I've needed some new outfits anyway. My closet's getting boring."

"Oh, we're not just going clothes shopping, Row."

I turned around and looked at Gabbie, confused. Her arms were crossed over her chest, a smug smile to match her shady actions right now.

"What the fuck does that mean, Gabbie?" All she did was laugh in reply, grabbing her bag from the hallway table.

"Pull your shoes on, Rowan. We're going fucking-"

"Yeah, fucking shopping. I know, I know."
