Sam's POV

I quickly ran towards the entrance of Arkadia when I heard screaming coming from outside. People were rushing in, going straight to the barrels of clean water and stripping down.

I came to a stop right outside the door next to Bellamy and my dad.

"Kane." Bellamy said worried. "There's someone outside."

I looked past him, to a man lying on the ground screaming in pain. Before Bellamy could walk outside, I pushed him back into the Ark and quickly ran outside to get him.

I picked the man up to his feet and carried him back inside Arkadia, where he was taken to medbay by others.

"What the hell is going on?" I shouted over the screaming as Bellamy and my dad started stripping down with the others.

"Black rain." Bellamy said quickly.

"Hello?" A voice came in over my dad's radio. "Can anyone hear me? Look, we're caught in the rain, and it burns. We're trapped in the rubble just north of the factory crash. Please. Can anybody hear me?"

My dad clicked on the button on the side of the radio to respond. "This is Chancellor Kane. I hear you. Can you hear me?"

"Kane. Kane, its Mark Colton. Look, please, my son is soaked with black rain. Please, you gotta help us. Hurry!"

"We have to help them." I quickly stated.

"We will." Bellamy said as he turned around to face me. His eyebrows furrowed in confusion as he looked at my forehead. Probably just noticing the cut that had been left there when the guy slammed my head into the wall. "Sam.." Bellamy said as he reached up to touch it.

"I'm fine." I quickly said back. I grabbed his hand and intertwined my fingers with his. "It's just a scratch. I'm fine."

"Dad." I caught my dad's attention as I entered the main room. My eyes caught sight of everyone there. All of them in pain and dying from the radiation. "What's going on? Where's Bellamy going?"

"He's going to get Mark and the others."

"What? Dad, no, he'll die out there."

"We have a plan."

My dad started to walk over to a table. Bellamy was there as well, wearing one of the old Mount Weather suits that was put back together with duck tape. I quickly walked over, ready to give him a piece of my mind.

"Bellamy, you can't be serious."

Bellamy raised his eyebrow and slowly looked up at me. "Sam, I have to do this."

"Fine, then I hope you understand that I have to do this." Both Bellamy and my dad gave me a strange look. "Niylah may have found a way to help the people sick with radiation."

"Well, that's good." My dad pointed out. "How?"

"Using my blood." Bellamy quickly started shaking his head as soon as I spoke. "If nightblood is key to surviving the radiation, then using my blood should help them. Just like.."

"Just like Mount Weather. " Bellamy finished, clenching his jaw. "No. No way in hell."

"Bell.."

"No! We are not turning Arkadia into Mount Weather."

"Then you're not going out there."

"Yes, I am."

"Fine. Then if you need me, I'll be in medbay. Niylah and I have to test our theory of using my blood. I'll let you know if it works."
