Gary starts off
We were at our dorm since tomorrow was Monday
It was currently midnight when I couldn't sleep and so did Gary

Gary stares in shock
"Well what about your parents," He asks the same question as earlier
All the happiness escaped from my body and I was now filled with sadness
"I prefer not to tell" I look away avoiding eye contact

I sigh "Fine, One day about a few months ago my village was attacked and so did the other villages around all seven regions, everyone was killed by a massive organization called Team Rocket lead by the tyrant Giovanni
He slaughtered my race and I escaped but by the cost of losing my mother" I squeeze my fist as I start getting angry
"But one day when I find that bastard that killed my mom, He will pay" a purple aura radiated around my fist but it shortly faded away
"Calm down Ash, and I'm sorry I shouldn't ask if it was a sad story"
I take a deep breath and let it all out
"No it was fine it felt good that I let out thanks, Gary" I finish with a smile
"Yeah, that's what friends are for," he pats my back "we've got school tomorrow and I don't wanna sleep in class," he says goodnight before heading to his room
I go to my room and eventually I fall asleep

"BEEP BEEP BEEP BEE-"
I smash my alarm clock with my fist turning it off
I squint my eyes as I wake up
"Wake up Ash, you don't wanna be late," Gary says as he yanks the covers off me and walks out of the room
I groan as I gradually get up and start getting ready for school
Me and Gary exited the dorm and we headed to the main school building
Along the way, we saw Drew so Gary ran over to him
"Morning guys," He said with a cheerful smile
"Where were you yesterday," I asked
He thought for a moment before responding
"Oh, I was helping May all day training for her next contest"
Gary smirked "Is that all you did"
A little blush arose on his cheeks
"No, nothing like that happened" He turned around to stop us from seeing his blush
But Gary just came from behind him and nudged him "Are you sure?" he asked "because I've seen you together and you two seem pretty close"
Drew just carried on walking but we just trailed behind him
"Drew cmon, I know you like her," he teases him
I just laugh at Drew's reaction and Gary teasing him
Soon we left Drew and we went to our lesson
As we entered the Ms.Juniper's class we sat down in our seats and waited for our lesson to begin
"Well let's see how well everyone is going on with your projects" She takes out her notepad and starts to write down how far everyone is doing so far
"Oh man" Gary holds his head in frustration and sighs
I turn to him "What's wrong"
"Misty and I never even started our project, and everyone even you are starting to do their finish project"
I chuckle "that's gonna be a bad grade" I shake my head
"Well Gary, how far have you and Misty done," Miss Juniper asks
Gary hesitates to ask
"Errm, well Misty and I didn't do it because of our eyes...we couldn't see any reason to do it" he cheekily smiles
I facepalmed at his sorry attempt
"Wow Gary, just wow" I slowly clapped
Instead of Gary getting a detention Miss just rolled her eyes
"I should be getting paid more," she said under her breath as she sat down on her chair
Throughout the day nothing really happened apart from me, Paul and Gary walking in on Drew and May
Gary's reaction was priceless he was screaming "YES!" over and over and congratulating Drew by giving him a 50 dollar note
But right now I'm with Serena in her dorm, we were finishing up on our project on Global Warming
"You know you didn't have to cancel on Calem because of this, we could've done this another time," I tell her
She takes her attention off the poster and looks at me with a smile on her face "It's fine, I like spending time with you"
My cheeks turned a shade of pink
She giggles "and I mean it"
We carried on with our work with what she said replaying in my mind "I like spending time with you" It repeated on and on
"Well how is it going, with your time in the school," She asks making eye-contact with me
"It's good so far, It's amazing actually The teachers and the other students are amazing as well" I answer
"Nice that you feel welcome on your first week"
I chuckle "I feel welcome mostly because of you and Gary, you two were the first people I met and I'm thankful that I met you"
"Aww, thanks" she blushes, as she pulls me into a hug
It soon became awkward and we soon separated we both were blushing and we just forgot about it
"W-we've finished," I say
"y-yeah, we s-should pack up n-now" she stutters
Once we finished packing up I got up and walked to the door
"well I'll see you tomorrow" I opened the door
"Wait," she got up from the couch "you forgot this"
I turned around and saw her holding my red hat
"Oh, I nearly forgot it thanks" I took it and placed it on my head
"Well then, I'll see you tomorrow" She stood right in front of me
"yeah" I replied
Right now I was lost in her eyes...her sapphire blue eyes glimmering in the night of her bedroom
we both stared at each other and all of a sudden everything around us vanished and we were the only two entities in the world right now

I then closed my eyes and made the first move by leaning ever so close to Serena's face
