Explanation 1: Being bitten doesn't work. You need to be born one to become a werewolf or lycan. You can't be human and survive being bitten. Our saliva would kill you due to it being toxic. If you were to be bitten and survive it you're most likely nonhuman already.
Explanation 2: People ask why being bitten doesn't work. Well I'm going to explain. Our saliva kills the white blood cells in human blood. Not sure how long it takes them to die, due to the fact I have never drawn blood on someone. But if you did bite them and they survive it they're already nonhuman.
