After their hug that lasted a little too long, Torei and Shawn split. Shawn and Cory left the apartment to talk and catch up, and Torei sat down at the window in the living room, just watching after everyone. Topanga and Amy were at the stove, Topanga having Amy taste some of the food she was cooking.

Josh propped down next to her, his hands together as he looked up at the girl expectantly.

"Do you remember when I was growing up, and you would come over for Christmas with Meredith, and you used to cook these amazing mashed potatoes," Josh laughed.

"Ahh, my famous mashed potatoes," laughed Torei, "And I do believe, you used to have a little crush on Mere."

"She was the cutest older woman I had ever seen," Josh laughed, earning a punch from Torei. He defensively said, "You were Shawn's!"

Torei let out a chuckle, and looked around to see Maya eyeing Josh.

"I think your niece's friend thinks your cute," Torei said, nudging him.

"Who? Maya?" he asked, and she nodded. "She's just a kid, she doesn't know how she feels."

"Okay," she said sarcastically, "I know you don't believe in that."

"I have to, she's three years younger than me, I'm going off to college soon."

"Yeah, everything changes in college," she nodded.

"I'll never understand why you and Shawn didn't end up together."

"I know," she replied. "But it's nothing you need to worry about, Josh. It's Christmas, let's be festive."

Shawn and Cory were inside by the window this time, Torei off with Topanga in the kitchen. They were talking about Shawn moving back to the city, they could have the "Cory and Shawn Show" where nobody talks but them.

"I wanna talk to you," Maya said, walking over with Riley.

"Did you not just hear our song?" asked Cory.

"What's that?" asked Shawn, pointing at the blonde.

"That's Maya. She thinks she's tough."

"Scram."

"Okay."

"I've heard stories about you," Maya told Shawn. "You're great in the stories. I don't see it yet."

"Okay?" Shawn replied.

"Riley and I are the best friends on this planet."

"Well, that's cute, because Cory and I are the best friends in all existence, which includes your little crummy planet."
