When I didn’t move the arm shoved me,  I stumbled a bit. “Peter, don’t.” he picked me up by my shoulders and grabbed my bandaged arm, I hissed as I planted my feet into the ground.

Peter tried to pull me along. “I’m not going with you.” I said as I kicked his knee and ran back into the cafeteria. I was scared of my brother now. He was capable of harming people like me, who were threatening his spot. I ran into something solid. I fell on my rear to look up at a surprised Eric. He held a hand out to me, I took it. “What’s the matter initiate?” Eric said as he pulled me up.

“Nothing, I’m fine.“ I said dusting myself off and trying to walk around him, he grabbed my arm. “Don’t lie to me, I asked you a simple question.” I tried to wrench my arm out of his grasp, “let me go.” I said in a stern tone. “I am the one,” his grip tightened, “who gives the orders, not,” his face was in mine centimeters apart, “you.”

I looked away, he forced me to look into his eyes. I was trapped, unable to look away, his breath fanned against my lips when he spoke.
