date night

"You sure you're good?" You said to Calum, Ashton, and Michael.

"Yep!" Ashton replied.

You and Luke were going on date night, you were leaving the boys to watch yours and Lukes  1 year old twins.

"Okay...Bye boys! Take care of them!" You said.

"Bye (Y/D/N) Bye (Y/S/N)!" Luke said and blew them a kiss.

"Be good for your uncles!" You called out, as you and Luke left.

"Where did you make a reservation?" You said as you and Luke got into the car.

"Only your favorite." Luke smiled.

The two of you arrived at your favorite restaurant and sat down at a table for two.

"We need date night more often." You smiled while looking at the menu.

"That's what I was thinking. The kids are a lot." Luke laughed.

"It's liked Michael times 5" You chuckled.

You slid your foot up Lukes leg under the table.

"Save some for later, yeah?" Luke winked.

"Of course" You smirked back.

You and Luke ate, talked, laughed, and drank through dinner. The much needed date night was perfect.

"What about dessert?" You said raising your eyebrows.

"I swear i've never seen you more excited for anything more than dessert. I love that fire you get in your eyes every time a waiter asks if we want a dessert menu." Luke chuckled and shook his head.

"I love cake." You said.

"Me too." Luke snickered.

"Although I love you and Calum, that's not what I meant" You laughed.

You and Luke ordered and ate a chocolate cake, then paid the bill and walked out into the crisp night air, holding hands, fingers intertwined.

"So I thought we could take advantage of the boys watching the kids and maybe go to a club before we head home?" Luke asked. He wrapped his arms around your waist and pulled you close as he said it. "I haven't seen you dance in forever. And you're so hot when you do it."

"I think we should get home for the kids." You said. Luke let out a sigh and let your waist go, turning away from you."What's wrong babe?"

"We never do anything anymore. We used to be so fun." Luke shook his head.

"Yeah, but then we had kids."

"So that means we need to change who we are. I love our kids, so much, but I also love you, and our relationship, of course we can't go clubbing every other night like we used to, but I want to do it every once in a while. Our relationship matters to." Luke tried to reason.

"Of course it does, but the kids are first now."

"They're fine! The boys have them! Let's go have fun!" Luke exclaimed, getting more frustrated now.

"But..."

"But what?? (Y/N) you're no fun anymore! Fuck this whatever let's just go home."

The drive home was tense. Luke didn't say a thing and neither did you. Anger hung in the air.

You walked into find the boys watching tv.

"How was date night?" Calum said smiling and turning off the tv.

"Great! Thank you guys so much! Were they good?" You put on a fake smile.

"Perfect." Ashton said.

The boys left leaving you and Luke in silence.

"So are we going to talk?" You asked.

"I don't know. Wouldn't you take care of the kids, than talk to me?" Luke sighed and walked into the kitchen. "

"What's going on Luke?" You said raising your voice. "Why are you so mad at me?"

"Because I'm sick of just staying in every night! I miss us! I miss dancing and staying out! I miss having fun with our friends!" Luke yelled, he began to trail off and got quieter, "I miss laughing until we can't breathe! I miss spending every minute with you....I miss you!"

"I'm still here..."

"I know but if we continue like this we're going to get bored...and you're going to stop loving me...You're going to leave me." Luke sighed.

"You think i'd ever leave you? Or I'd ever stop loving you?" You asked. Luke nodded. "Then you're dead wrong, never in a million years would I stop loving you. Forever and always Luke. I love you so much. And I could never get bored with you Luke."

"I'm sorry i've been so weird tonight. I'm just feeling a little insecure and...I do miss going out with you more."

"Well we can fix that. We're having two date nights a week now okay? Nest time we're gonna go dance until we can't stand, I promise." You said. You walked closer to you're loving husband and gave him a long kiss. "I'm sorry. I love our kids and I've been paying a lot of attention to them, probably more than needed, but I love you too, and you need attention, and sometimes I take you for granted, and I'm sorry."

"I love you." He said in between kisses, and trailed his hands down your body.

"I love you too." You smiled. "Now come with me" You smirked. leading him to you're shared bedroom, and closing the door behind you. "I'll show you why you'll never get bored"
