"joshie m'sleepy." he murmured as they josh drove to the secret destination.
"stay awake for 2 minutes baby. you'll love it. i promise." he told him and tyler nodded in response. josh drove a little longer until he parked at the beach.
"the beach?" he asked.
"yeah, this is where we first met." josh smiled widely as he got out of the car.
"i love you so freaking much." tyler whispered clinging onto josh tightly.
"i love you too." he kissed tylers forehead as they climbed on the hood of the car.
the two sat in silence for a while, before tyler spoke up, "thank you for remembering and for bringing me here."
"you're more than welcome princess." he whispered as tyler traced the bags under the sleepy boys eyes.
"you look so tired." he murmured with a frown and a pout set onto his face.
"i'm okay, ty, i promise." he kissed his lips quickly yet softly. tyler laid his head on josh's shoulder. josh played with his hair until he fell asleep. he placed the sleepy boy in the passenger seat and buckled him in.
josh drove the whole way home, singing along to the radio and avoiding pot holes. eventually they got home and josh carried his love inside carefully before placing him in bed. "night gorgeous." he murmured softly.
"i love you tyler, ever so much." he whispered.
"i love you too." he chuckled sleepily.
"goodnight, sleep well." josh told him before leaning up to walk away but tyler wrapped his arms around the older boy's neck and pulled him into bed. "sleep, i know you haven't in a while."
and josh did exactly that. he slept.
