I couldn't believe it. I had actually won.
Brett groaned. "Ugh, the last paragraph is so annoying." He says, but I barelyregister that he thought since he hadn't won I couldn't have until he added, "Who do you think won? I think it was that scrawnykid with the glasses, he needs a makeover only millions of dollars can buy."
Prick.
"I won." I said simply.
And Brett had the audacity to laugh. "funny, who do you think w--"
I shoved my letter in his face. "Me." I said then pulled my prize from his shocked face and continueddown the hallway to Mrs. Brack's class.
