Chapter 8

I looked at Vinyl. "What just happened." I asked. Vinyl laid on my lap. "I don't know, but it felt right." She whispered. I held her hand. She looked at me. "Can I show you something?" Vinyl whispered. I nodded and we got up.

We walked for twenty minutes before we reached a forest. Vinyl ran to a nearby tree. I ran over. On the other side of the tree was a ladder. We climbed up until we were in a tree house. The roof was made of leaves and a little hole was there to look out of. Vinyl and me sat on a bench.

"This is where I go when I need to escape the city." Vinyl whispered. I smiled. "It's amazing." I said. She smiled. "Not as amazing as you." She said looking at me. I blushed. She leaned in and kissed me. I grabbed her hand and kissed back.

We broke the kiss. She sat on my lap and hugged me. "That's it! I admit it. I fucking love you!" She said. I smiled and hugged her back. "It's going to be dark soon." I said. She smiled. "I know she said. She walked over to another ladder and climbed up.

I followed and we got to a small platform on the top of the tree. We sat down in some chairs and waited for the sunset. She held my hand as the sun began to set, revealing an array of beautiful colors. Vinyl leaned her head on my shoulder.

I smiled and kissed her forehead. She smiled and squeezed my hand softly. The sun set and it began to get dark. Vinyl began turning on lanterns all around the tree house. We went down to the main room and Octavia pulled out a huge sleeping bag and pillows. "We're spending the night here?" I asked. She looked at me. "Do you want to?" She asked.

I smiled. "Sure, I'll think it'll be fun." I said. She smiled and got in the sleeping bag. I walked over and got in with her. She wrapped her arms around me and snuggled next to me. I smiled and held her hand. "Goodnight." I whispered. She smiled and closed her eyes. I closed my eyes and fell asleep.

Vinyl's POV
I closed my eyes and hugged Octavia. I felt her chest rising and going back down as she breathed. I felt safe around her. I soon fell asleep.

The next morning I woke up and saw that my lips were centimeters away from Octavia's. I quickly kissed her and quietly got out of the sleeping bag.

I walked over to a small dresser and got dressed. Octavia woke up and sat up. "Wait, don't we have school today?" She said. "Oh, crap!" I said. We both got up and got out of the treehouse and ran to our houses as fast as we could.

I got home and quickly got ready. After I ran out of the house and began the trip to school. Halfway there I spotted Octavia. "Hey!" I yelled waving to her. She turned around and smiled. I caught up to her. She looked at me. "I had fun last night." She said. I smiled and kissed her. I stopped and looked at her.

She blushed. I giggled and we kept going to school. When we got there people stared at us. One guy mumbled something and looked away. I shrugged and walked to history. I was about to go in when Sophie got in front of me. "Hi lesbo." She said. I looked at her. She laughed and showed me a picture on her phone.

I gasped when I saw it was a picture of me and Octavia. It was a picture of when I kissed her on the way to school. "Now everyone in the school will know." She mocked. I shrugged and walked past her. "So what." I said walking inside.
