Tempest's POV:
"Hey Tempest, do you wanna go grab coffee later on?" " Yeah that sounds good."
So Javier just called me, we haven't seen each other in a while due to that he has to travel a lot. We've became best friends last year and I love how supportive he is.
He knows how to cheer me up and we always have a great time together. I was recently in a relationship, but I broke up with him because things weren't working out for us anymore.
I still had some feelings for him but the way he would treat me wasn't right. And Javier was really supportive and was there for me when everything happened.
I decided to get ready, he told me he was picking me up and he might get here soon.
He texted me saying he was on his way, so I grabbed my purse and went outside since I was ready early. We got to Starbucks and we ordered, I was gonna take money out of my purse when he had handed his card to the cashier.
He was such a gentleman, he rarely let me pay and when I did it was because I would have my card or money in my hand already. We sat down and waited for our drinks.
We were catching up because I haven't seen him in like almost a month. After we got our drinks he told me that we should go for a walk, and I agreed. We were walking around the city, we saw a bench and we sat down.
He was quiet for a while, it wasn't awkward or anything but I knew he wanted to tell me something because he was staring at me. "Tempest, I-I don't know how to say this. You know, we've been friends for a while now and I don't want to ruin this but I think it's best if you know this. I really like you, I've liked you for a while now but I've been scared to tell you."
I just sat there looking straight into his eyes, not believing what he had just said. I didn't think he liked me, I mean he is cute but he is someone who doesn't really like to talk about his feelings.
"I-I-I don't know what to say, I mean you know what I just went through. I'm not saying that I don't like you or anything, it's just that we might need to take things slowly."
Javier just smiled at me, and grabbed my hand. " I understand, but I want you to know that I'll always be by your side no matter what. And I want things to work out between us." I smiled at him and we continued walking.
We walked around for a bit and even did a little shopping. After he took me home and I thanked him for everything. I gave him a kiss on the cheek and walked towards my front door.
Javier's POV:
I hadn't seen Tempest in the longest time and I decided to call her and maybe we could get coffee and catch up on things. She agreed and I got ready and headed over to her house, I was so excited because I was finally going to see her again.
We ordered and she tried paying like always but of course I didn't let her. We sat down and waited for our drinks, we were talking and she smiled, gosh I missed seeing that smile.
When we got our drinks, we went for a walk and then we saw a bench and we decided to sit down. I started thinking of what I was going to say, I was about to confess my feelings for her. So I decided to just go for it.
I told her how I we've been friends for a while now and I didn't want to ruin things between us, but I've had feelings for her. She told me that she's been through so much lately but she did have some feelings for me.
I understood that she wanted to take things slow, so I told her that I will be there for her no matter what. That made her smile and that made me happy. So we walked around for a bit more and then I took her home.
When we were outside her house she thanked me and kissed my cheek. But before I could say anything she left and started walking towards her front door. She was special and she was the one who made me happy.
