To say that Alexander Gaskarth was in love with his boyfriend Jack was an understatement. He'd do absolutely anything just to see him smile. He loved his laugh and his eyes. He loved his sense of humor and optimistic personality. He had the power to light up the room by just simply walking in. At the moment, however, he was questioning if whether or not Jack felt the same way.

It all started about three weeks ago. At first he thought he was just being paranoid, but  eventually everything was beginning to become too much.

His first clue was when he was starting to go out more....without Alex. Alex didn't want to be that "where-are-you-going-dressed-like-that" boyfriend. He stayed quiet and reassured himself that Jack was just hanging out with friends. In the end, he always came back home to him.

The next clue came a little while later when Jack would get secretive phone calls. He would either excuse himself to talk privately or sometimes Alex would catch him whispering. He didn't say anything, but it did hurt a little bit.

The next one came a few days ago. Alex has always been a heavy sleeper. However, on a particular night he woke up to use the bathroom. He didn't notice it at first, but when he returned to the bed he realized that Jack was gone. Where would he have gone off to at 3AM?

That's where his theory started to come into place. Always going out, secret phone calls, and now sneaking out? It was painfully obvious to Alex that Jack was seeing someone else. That night he crawled back into bed and waited for the man to come home. He came back at six in the morning.

What was the hardest thing about this? Alex pretended not to notice. He wanted to believe that the man he loved felt the same way.

Of course, eventually the truth must come out, right?

Time skip: 3 days later

"I just don't get it, Vic! Is there something wrong with me? Did I do something wrong?" Alex asked his friend who sat next to him on the couch. His head buried in his hands.

"There's nothing wrong with you, okay? Maybe there's a logical explanation for all this." Vic said sympathetically.

"And what would that be? I'd love to know!" Alex said sarcastically.

"It could be um...maybe he's just um... Okay I've got nothing." Vic admitted. Alex began to release tears from his eyes. Vic began running his hand up and down his back hoping to soothe the blue-haired man next to him. It really didn't.

"How could he do this, Vic!? We've been together since senior year in highschool!  We're both about to graduate from college now! Does he really want to throw all those memories away?" Alex sobbed.

"Look at me, Alex." Vic said as he grabbed the sobbing man's head; forcing him to meet his eyes.

"You are strong and perfect just the way you are. You put up with all the homophobia and ridicule in highschool and at home. You're getting your PhD and somehow haven't drowned in student debt like the rest of us. If Jack really wants to leave such an amazing person like you behind then its his lost! You need to get all that bravery that you had when you covered the dean in tuna and flour from that prank you pulled and confront Jack!okay?" Vic spoke with reassurance in his voice. Alex sniffled.

"You're right, Vic! You're totally right!"Alex said in realization. That's when he got a text on his phone. He unlocked his cell phone to check it.
