Everybody's got Somebody but Me (Hunter Hayes & Scotty McCreery)

Chapter 21- Back to normal

Scotty: “Sara, hey stop.”

No I wasn’t stopping I wanted to be alone, and no one ran after me so once I was out of sight I just walked to wherever I was going. I decided to walk outside and get some fresh air, and I’m gunna call my mom, I want her advice.

-Waiting for my mom to pick up-

Mom: “Hey honey, I haven’t heard from you in a while. How’s touring been going?”

Me: “Great until now, I really need your advice on something.”

Mom: “I’m all ears, what’s up?”

Me: “Well I really like Scotty and I just haven’t really told him that yet. Then Justen comes to visit him and Ashely and Trina think Justen likes me. I’m caught in the middle and I don’t know what to do. The boys overheard me talking to Ashely and Trina and I don’t know what to do anymore.”

Mom: “Well to me it sounds like Justen deserves to know that you just want to be friends, and as for Scotty tell him how you really feel. If that travels downhill, I know you are strong enough to handle it my baby girl.”

Me: “Thank you mom.”

Mom: “No problem if you ever need advice ever again, you know I’m here for you.”

With that we said our goodbyes and I hung up the phone. This venue is planted right in the middle of a city and takes up a few blocks. I finished walking one lap around outside and went back in the take my mom’s advice.

First I’m going to apologize for running away and then I think I want to talk to Justen first. I found him by his truck and asked if I could talk to him.

Me: “Okay so these past few days have been really fun, but I think I need to clear something up.”

He nodded and I continued talking;

Me: “Back home I’m friends with only guys and I’m not used to deciphering if someone would like me, and I feel like I’ve been leading you on, and I didn’t mean to. I wanna be honest with you and I’d love to be friends, but right now my heart is with Scotty.”

Justen: “I understand, I just got here and it’s not my place to come along and mess everything up. Oh and yes I’d love to be friends, now go get your guy.”

I laughed and gave him a quick hug and thanked him for understanding and I went to find Scotty.

I checked his bus first and no sign of anyone there. My next guess was to see if he was in his dressing room. Bingo!

I knocked before I went in and I found him sitting on the couch watching TV. He saw me walk in and muted the show he was watching.

Me: “Hey I’ve got something to say and I really just want you to listen.”

Scotty: “Of course, what’s going on?”

Me: “So first I wanna say that this past month being on tour with you and Hunter has been amazing. But last week when we started getting closer, I really want to be able to go back to that, because I like you. I’m not used to talking to guys who are more than friends and I know now that I was leading Justen on, and I said I just want to be friends, because …” I trailed off and looked down at the ground.

Scotty had been standing in front of me and he reached out for a hug and pulled me close to him.

Scotty: “I don’t expect you to know how to figure out everything that is thrown your way all by yourself. I’m here for you and for the record, I really like you too.”

I looked up into his eyes while he was still hugging me. We both smiled at the same time and his hand went to my cheek and we stood there kissing.

I wanted nothing more than this; it makes me so happy that everything turned out alright, in my favor. When our kiss ended Scotty asked if I wanted to do something, just the two of us, tomorrow before we leave for Alabama. I said yes and we both fell asleep cuddled up on the couch in his dressing room.

The next morning I woke up wrapped in Scotty’s arms lying on my side hugging him close to me. I lifted my head off his chest and leaned over him, kissing him awake. He smiled against my lips and rolled on top of me still kissing me. I put my hands up on the back of his neck and he went to tickling my sides. I was squirming underneath him but he just kept kissing and tickling me. I put my hands on top of his and was able to get him to stop; he even let me breathe for a few seconds before we got up.

Scotty: “I missed that so much.”

I sat there next to him and I know I blushed because he said something about it.

Scotty: “Aw you’re a little red.”

Of course when he said that I’m red I turned even redder.

Me: “I know I missed falling asleep with you too.”

With that we both got up and got ready for whatever it was Scotty had planned for us to do today. Justen let us borrow his truck and Scotty drove around and out into the suburbs and he wouldn’t tell me where we were going. We turned up the radio and sang every song that came on. When we finally reached where we were going… mini-golfing!

A.N. Sorry for the short chapter, the next one will be all about Sara and Scotty's mini golfing date. I'm not going to promise when I can write again, because I don't want to break that promise.

I'm really tired and I just wanna sleep because I fell off my horse again today. It was nothing serious I was riding bareback and he spooked, I lost my balance and slid off into some nice soft grass. But yeah goodnight guys thanks for reading it means the world to me. ~Emily
