•Cassie•
"Cassie...Cassie you need to wake up...Cassie...Cassie!"
Cassie shot forward suppressing a small gasp. She didn't know where she was, only that she could see white, everywhere.
"Hello?" She said quietly, standing up from sitting. "Where am I." She asks herself after there was no sign of another person.
White walls were on either side of her as she walks down a long hallway. She recognizes something about this place, but can't place it. She walks towards a door, all white, and debates on if she should go through it or not.
She decided to go through but as she touches the door, she hears different voices. She finally pushes open the door and walked to the other side. As she walks to the other side, people are running around her.
"What the hell..." Cassie said as she began to walk through the building. She knows it's Beacon Hills Hospital, she's just confused on why she is here.
"Excuse me." Cassie says to a nurse, but doesn't even get a glance her way. Cassie furrows her eyebrows on why she was just ignored.
Cassie then approaches the front desk where a nurse is sitting at and says, "Um excuse me?" The nurse doesn't even look up, just kept doing whatever the hell she was doing.
Cassie gets frustrated and says, "Hello?" And waves her hand in front of the nurses face. The nurse looked up and Cassie rolls her eyes and was about to say something when the nurse said, "Hey John, back again?" Cassie then felt someone pass through her, and she gasps stumbling back.
'Did someone just pass through me!' Cassie thought as she saw a man stand right where she was.
"Oh my god this can't be happening, I'm dreaming." Cassie tells herself but she had a feeling all of this wasn't a dream.
"Cassie..." She turned her head as she hears a voice say. She began to walk towards were the voice came from. "Cassie I need you to wake up."
She began to pick up her pace as she began to run. She didn't know where she was going but follows her instincts. Cassie stops when she knew where the voice was coming from. But she didn't move as she saw what was playing out in front of her.
She saw all her friends, Lydia, Scott, Kira, Stiles and even Malia was there. Cassie saw them all huddling around the bed where Cassie sees herself lying down. Cassie began to feel tears build as she hesitantly let her hand pass through the wall, then her whole body.
As she passed through their voices began to become clear. Stiles was sitting in a chair beside her bed as he held her hand, tears running down his face as he kept telling Cassie to wake up. Lydia was behind him holding one of his shoulders, tears streaming down her face too.
Scott and Kira both stood, holding each other. Scott had red eyes and Kira had tear stained cheeks. Cassie turned to Malia and couldn't believe what she was seeing. Malia was also crying, but was obviously trying not to.
The door opens and Cassie as well as everyone else look over at the door. Malissa walks in as she carries folders.
Malissa closes the door and turned to everyone, tears also in her eyes. Scott walked over to her and indulges her in a hug. Malissa lets out a sigh of relief and she holds him close.
Scott let go as Malissa did too, going over to where Cassie's body lays unconscious, not moving. Cassie then took her chance to look at herself, and slightly cringes. There were scratches all over her face, as well as bruises. The heart monitor was beating slow but still beating at least.
"I'm sorry to say this, but she's in a coma." Malissa's voice cut through the silence. Everyone looks at her again, as she continues, "We don't know when or if she'll wake up, but she's still alive. She might not function properly but she's alive, that's good enough. If she wakes up she will be in therapy, possibly for years to learn how to walk again, maybe even speak."
Cassie let's out a cry as she hears that, including everyone else. Cassie begins to think about what that will mean for her, what's the point to keep fighting, she thinks.
"I believe that everything from now and forward is all up to her, if she wants to live she will wake up. If not..." Malissa trails off and Lydia let's out a big sob.
Cassie looks at her best friend, wanting to comfort her but can't. Cassie has never seen her best friend this venerable, she's usually so strong. And Cassie just wants to suck all the pain away from Lydia.
"I'm sorry but your times up, you'll all have to wait outside until tomorrow." Malissa says and Stiles shoots up.
"N-no. She needs someone to stay in here with her, w-we have to be with her. She needs us." Stiles says as she shakes his head violently, small sobs escaping him. "Stiles I need to take tests you can't be in-" Malissa says but Stiles cuts her off.
"Please...." Stiles begs.
Malissa sighs and speaks up, "Okay but only one of you can come in after I'm done, now you have to get out." And with that Malissa pushes all of them out the door. She closes the blinds and lets out a loud sigh.
She turns to Cassie's unconscious body, and walks towards her again. She checks the monitor and begins to write down different things. Cassie walks beside her body and try's to touch her hand, but it passes through her.
Cassie then whispers to herself, "Am I dying?" Tears are streaming down her face as she looks at her face. "Do I want to die?" She asks herself.
Cassie's doesn't know what she wants. Not now at least. Sure, she wants to be strong for her friends and wake up for them, but what's the point. She just doesn't see any point to be here still. Malissa then breaks Cassie's thoughts as she kneels down beside her bed.
She takes Cassie's hand, rubbing it. Cassie feels a tingle run through her left hand, the one Malissa took.
"Cassie...I know you can here every word I'm about to tell you. So please just...listen." Malissa leans towards her ear and begins to speak. "You need to wake up. You still have a family here that loves you, okay? You can't leave them, Lydia, Scott...Stiles. You guys have been together since the beginning of everything. Without you this town would be doomed to hell. So here's the secret baby, if you live, if you die, it's all up to you. So whatever fight you got in you. You gotta pull it out, now." Cassie watches as Malissa stands up and walks out the door. Cassie lets Melissa's words sink. Cassie now knows that she has to make a choice, cause choices is what you have to make. Choices is what life comes down to, and this choice Cassie has to make will either end or start a new journey in her life.
