(TRIGGER WARNING! SELF HARM AHEAD AND FOR BASICALLY THE REST OF THE BOOK)

'Why won't you just notice how different I act... I'M NOT OKAY JUST REALIZE THAT.'

"Okay, but, I'm right here if you need me," he said through the door. "I worry about you you knew, you haven't been out of your room in a couple days..." he trailed off.

I sighed and looked down at myself as I heard his footsteps walk away.

I looked at the razor again.
I itched.
But there was nothing to scratch.
I promised myself I would stop.
Then why is it still there?
I want to do it.
Just do it.

I sighed and gave into the temptation.

I gently grabbed the sharp object, carful not to split open my fingers.

I pulled up my shirt and held it in place with the arm that wasn't holding the razor.

I set the blade on my skin and hesitated for a moment before sliding it across the skin.

Red beads started pushing through the new cut.

I sighed in relief and continued.

I kept going until my sides and stomach were criss crossed with cuts and blood turned my usually pale skin red.

I smiled softly and let the blood flow freely before covering the numerous cuts with gauze, mas
king sure that my blood didn't get on anything.

Not that anyone would notice... or care.

I made sure that there wouldn't be and leaking before pulling my shirt back down and planting a smile on my face and exciting my room.

I'm alone in this world
No one cares
No one pays attention
No one likes me
In any way
My friends...
Are they even my friends?
I don't know...
They could be
But they also could be trying to get closer
Trying to break me...
I don't trust anyone
Why would I?
They could all be lying
They could just be trying to tear me down
They're probably trying to break me even more
Why trust them?
When they could be lying...
I don't trust anyone
They probably only talk to me out of pity
That's how my life is going to go
People doing things for me out of pity
For all I know they all hate me
I don't know
I can never actually know
Never
