AN: my mom grounded me and I have school sooo, I will be updating a LOT less. On with le story!

Becky's POV

I jolted from my sleep. I have been having terrible nightmares lately. I've been waking up very early, as in 2-4 in the morning.

Right now, it's about three.

I got up and walked out of the room.

__ __

I walked to the kitchen for a glass of milk.

"You couldn't sleep either?"

I jumped, turning around. He chuckled his charming laugh.

"Oh, Francis. Haha, don't scare me like that!" I giggled softly. It was dark, but the moonlight brightly lit up our faces. "So, what happened? Bad dream? Woke up out of nowhere?" He asked. "Bad dream." I said, drinking my milk slowly. "Ah. You've been having a lot lately." He said, as if reading my mind. "Yeah.." I yawned after putting my glass on the counter.

"Come on, maybe you'll sleep better if someone is with you."

"Where?" I asked.

He smiled. "Why, to my chambers, of course."

__ __

We entered his room and he took something out from under his bed. "Chess?"
__ __

We set up the chess board and played a few rounds. We were tied with three each, this game was the tie-breaker.

"Checkmate!" He cheered. I giggled at his childish actions.

"Take that, Ciel! I beat a demon!" I tilted my head in confusion. He seemed to notice.

"Ciel is my friend in London. We play all the time, but I never manage to beat him. He has an odd title for a thirteen year old. 'The queens guard dog.' Huh. Oh! He has a demon butler! If I recall correctly, his name was.... bassy? No. Ah, yes. Sebastian!"

I twitched at the name. "What, do you know him?" He asked. "We were childhood friends. Before he got into the soulhunting business. Before the 'accident.'"

Flashback

Sebby and I were playing hide and seek, running through my house garden. "You can't catch me!" I squealed, giggling with delight. "Oh, yeah? Don't you forget! I'm smarter, stronger, and faster than you~!"

"But not as witty!" I dodged his attack, falling on the grass in a fit of giggles. He threw himself, face first, on the grass as well. "Ooh, a bunny!" He sat up as I picked it up. I sniffed the air, I could smell something was wrong. "What?"

"Smoke." I said, in my baby-ish, high-pitched voice, completely serious.

We got up and ran to the front of the house to see where the smoke was coming from. It was coming from Sebastian's house.

__ __

I yawned for the last time that day.

"Time for bed?" Asked Francis. I nodded.

He clapped twice, then lights out.
