Waterkit bounded to the high tree her fur spiked up with excitement. "Come back here Waterkit your fur is a mess!" Moonsplash called. "Fine," she muttered. Waterkit had reached her sixth moon along with her brothers, Mosskit and Icekit. "Step forward you three," Snakestar called. The three kits bounded forward as Snakestar mellowed, "Until you have earned your warrior names you will be know as Waterpaw, Mosspaw, and Icepaw." "I have decided to take Waterpaw as my apprentice, and Mosspaw with be Lilywhisker's apprentice, while Tigerfang mentors Icepaw." Snakestar rasped. "What are we doing first?" Waterpaw spurred. "You are going to get bedding and catchy food for the elders," Snakestar laughed. Waterpaw's tail dropped what a boring first day as an apprentice! "This is going to be a long day" Waterpaw thought.
