Chapter 8 - I Know about you

Rika's POV

"Rika"

I turn around to see Tezuka in front of me and I smiled.

"Ah~ Tezuka, what is it?" I ask.

"I want to ask your opinion..." He said.

I raise my eyebrow...

Okay~ this is rare.....

"What is it?" I ask.

"I did say that Echizen's tennis play is like your father's right?... So, I want to help him... Is that okay with you?" He ask, unsure.

I chuckled at him.

"Tezuka, You dont have to ask permission to play against Ryoma. I understand what you're trying to do, but its not my choice... its yours. Go do what you want....are you doing it here? In school?" I said.

"No" He bluntly replied.

I sigh and nod.

"Okay, I'll take care of the practise today then. Ryuzaki-Coach is going too right?" I said.

He nod.

I run my hand through my hair.

"One more thing..... your arm..."

His eyes widen.

"I've seen you play before... when you tried playing you too long, it'll hurt..Right?" I said, concerned.

"The doctor said its healed, but... if I play too long then it'll be hurting again. Also I cant use my drop shot too often" He said.

I nod, understanding.

"I'm sure you know what happen to me, I'm one of the person who suffers the same thing as you did. Yours...Your injury are not too serious yet, so please...please dont push yourself...Promise me... Ryoma may not be as strong as you yet, but still he's still quite strong. He might be able to push you to the limit" I said.

I'm really worry. Knowing Tezuka, He'll always sacrifice himself if it means something to the team.

"I know" He answered.

PRACTISE TIME~

"Okay everyone! continue what you're suppose to do" I said to all of them.

Since Inui will be in charge of the regulars, I'll be handling the non-regulars. As usual, first years doing swings and picking the balls, second years doing practise match.

"Rika-sempai! Echizen and Buchou not here!" Momo shouted as he came to me.

I cover my ears.

"Owwww...dont have to shout, Momo. Tezuka and Ryoma has something to do so dont worry" I said to him while rubbing my ears.

"What about Oishi? He isn't here as well!" Eiji said as he approach me too.

"Oishi not here?" I ask.

'where could he be?' I thought.

Then my eyes widen, He must have went there too...

I sigh, frustrated.

'Of course he knows. He is the vice-Captain and Tezuka's close friend. How can he not know' I thought, running my hand through my hair and sigh.
