RIKA'S POV
The names appeared on the screen board.
Kirihaya Akaya vs. Kevin Smith
I frown then I turn to the back.
"Ryo.......ma......"
I wanted to comfort him but.....He's gone.
Syusuke held my hand.
"He'll be fine" He said.
I nod in return. They both started playing, Akaya showed a newly developed technique called phantom ball. It's used against lefty players.
Akaya manage to dominate the first game with that technique...Well, untill he crash into the net pole.
He maybe trying to conceal it, but his arm twitch ever so slightly.... I'm sure Tezuka saw through that.
A few minutes later, he collapse due to immense pain. We brought him to the doctor.
"I'll go find Echizen" Tezuka said to me.
I nod and went to Akaya. His arm is fine, but he can't play for now. Lucky its not permanent injury...
"How'd you feeling now?" I ask him.
"Like shit obviously....." He replied bitterly.
"You know, If you're not satisfied.. You can always play against me" I said, smirking at him.
"As...as if!! You're too strong!!!" He stuttered. Then it turn into a smirk.
"But then, that doesn't mean I'm giving up!!" He declared.
I smile at him.
"Come on, lets go....Ryoma might be there already" I said.
" 'kay...." He replied and stood up.
We went out of the room and went to the court.
"That Echizen better not lose..." Akaya muttered.
I chuckle.
"Well, knowing him...He'll play his all. After all, he gets to play" I said.
The match continues. Finally....
Well, I didn't mean I wasn't looking forward to Akaya's match, Its just that I'm more interested in Ryoma's match.
The match starts off with the same points. 2 game, Akaya's and 3 game Kevin's.
They both started rallying. As the game goes on, Kevin shoes various kind of techniques.... Drive B, one foot split step.... All are copies from Ryoma's.
Ryoma then revealed his Cyclone Smash... Thats the technique that he developed during our training with Rikkaidai. Though I couldn't see its debut that time as I was at the hospital with Seiichi.
"What was that move?" I heard Kevin asked himself.
The points are then reversed by Ryoma leading the match.
Suddenly, Kevin did an unexpected move. His original I supposed. The ball multiplies when he hits the ball.
"Yeah!! Thats Kevin's Illusion!! Finally, I was wondering when he'll use it" Billy, one of Kevin's teammate said.
"How did the ball multiply?!" Eiji ask.
"Yeah, I saw 6 of those tennis ball" Syusuke said.
"Ehh?! I saw 7!!!" Eiji exclaim.
