Chapter 31 - The game starts!

Rika's POV

So , the day is finally here. Our first match will start soon. Me as a bench coach again.

Doubles 2 is Momo and Kaidoh vs Marui Bunta and Jackal Kuwahara.

Before the match starts, Marui ate a slice of cake and Jackal shave his head.

Inui explains that its their ritual or whatever you call it, they do it everytime before a match.

But whatever it is unfortunately, our side lost... They lost without the opponent even taking out their weights.

Doubles 1 soon starts. Oishi and Eiji vs Masaharu Niou and Hiroshi Yagyuu.

Here i am, on the bench sit, watching our Seigaku's golden pair falling...

It seems that they're able to read Eiji's moves. That silver hair, Niou to be exact. Eiji still hasn't realise it yet. Thats why Eiji is frustrated, causing the both of them to not be able to work together.

"You still dont realise your habbit do you?" Niou ask.

I close my eyes and sigh.

'Just as I thought...'

"What is Eiji-sempai's habbit? I dont see it at all..." Momo ask.

Everyone remain silent, as they dont know the answer as well.

"Eiji's Racket..." I begin.

Then Inui clicked his pen. He explain everything to them.

When its time to change court, I stood up and went to Eiji. I slapped his both cheek lightly like how i often do it.

"Eiji! Concentrate. Dont bother about that! Remember, you're playing doubles not singles! You have a partner you can rely on!" I scolded him.

His eyes widen, then turn to Oishi.

"Gomen, Oishi..."

"Its fine now that you're back, Eiji"

I smile at the both of them, finally they're back.

"It doesn't really matter if they win or loose anymore. They've been doubles partner for a long time. If their bonds are loose they wont be Seigaku's Golden Pair anymore...'

They might have manage to get back to play, but they still ends up loosing.

'If we loose singles 3 then we loose the whole game. Inui...please...you have to win...'

I was brought back from my thought when I heard someone said my name.

"Sadaharu, Rika, long time no see"

I turn to the voice.

"Oh? you both know each other?" Inui ask.

"I played against her, once... but nevermind that, I'm in a hurry, lets start now" Renji said.

A former doubles partner... I pitied Inui, not only have to play against his partner, but also his data collected is also fake.

"If its like this then, I'll just have to abandon Data Tennis" Inui said.

He started with just brute force and speed. But....

'Hn....that baka is really starting to be unpredictable...'

When its finally the last ball, Inui strikes back.

"Data is Collected" He said, pushing is glasses up.

I smirk.

Everyone at the back was shock, well i didn't blame them, Inui did say that he'll leave Data Tennis.

"Baka, he's just collecting new data. Do you really think its that easy to forget your own play style?" I said to them all.

I chuckle, that Inui has been manipulating Renji all this while...

He won the game by 6-5.

"I cant believe Yanagi-Sempai lost. Ha!! But i'll be qble to finish MY opponent in 5 minutes!" Akaya boasted.

He's In the court already....Such an impatient brat.

"Oi! Where's my freaking opponent?! Scared already?!" He shouted.

"Fuji, why aren't you going in the court?!" Oishi ask.

"Because its not my match" Syusuke simply said.

Just on que, I stood up.

"Ryoma, pass me your Racket, its my turn to play..."
