She nodded. Then Flicko ran off,back the way he came.

He came to the canyon entrance where the fire had slowed down. Only small fires lingered in the rocks and vines. He walked in searching for his leader;Fairy and his cousin and best friend;Trot
"Fairy!" He called. He just assumed she had found trot. "Fairy!?"He called after her. Time went by and Flicko found nothing. He saw a tree fallen down in the distance. He thought he heard a faint niegh and ran up to it. Aeeing the cream and white mare's hind legs sticking out. He frantically tried lifting the tree off of Fairy."Fairy!can you hear me?"He asked. Only a soft niegh in reply. He finally lifted the tree,revealing a dusty Fairy,with a bruised side and some small cuts and burns.
Flicko looked at her with worry in his eyes. He nuzzled her head to try to get her up. He lifted her head with his and she stood up shaking and leaning most of her body weight on Flicko,who walked slowly for Fairy who limped back to the plains.

When they got there,all the horses rushed to their leader."is she okay?"Jalapeno asked. Flicko nodded"She'll be fine"He said.
Fairy could still not open her eyes. She felt like she had burnt them."Get some rest" Flicko said to Fairy"Trot!"Fairy remembered "We'll look for him tomorrow" Flicko said quickly. Fairy sat down and tried to rest.
_____Back at the forest____
Unus searched everywhere. It took them much longer than they hoped to get to dew forest. They had to go past Crow kingdom and they wouldn't let them past. Fillip left to Stray bush;the home of Scrunchy. So they basically had to deal with the crows on their own. But now their finally at the forest,that isn't on fire anymore but everything is burnt."Fairy!?"Unus called"Maybe they already escaped"Cradline said."Unus!" A soft male voice called.Unus followed the voice along with Cradline and fruity.they finally found it;Trot "Won't you one of fairy's deputies?" Unus asked "yes the name is Trot" Trot said,turning to reveal his trapped tail. It was jammed under a log"where is everyone else?"Unus asked,while lifting the log,allowing trot to escape"I'm sure they are all safe" Trot said,still sitting down exhausted. "So how did you get separated"Cradline asked
"Me and fairy where running side by side one second,the next,I heard through the flames a desperate call,which made me stop. Then I lost the herd in the smoke. So I decided to turn back and see what I heard. Something was trapped in the fire just out side the canyon,when I got there I saw it,a tree was about to fall on it but I jumped in the way and it caught my tail"Trot said
He then moved to the side revealing a fox pup that was being protectively shielded by Trot. The fox howledv"it's okay" Trot comforted.
It was a silver fox,a very small fox,but as a puppy,so much smaller.
"I call him Soldier"Trot said.

All three looked at the poor clumsy pup that could barely open its eyes.they felt bad that this pup was separated from its mother,he's lucky there is such a caring,brave and strong horse like Trot out there,or this pup would never have survived....
