Jax had left to head to work. I didn't mind. I told him that I was cooped up in his place, but there was really no reason for him to have to be stuck at home. He had stayed with me for several days and I'm sure he would have stayed many more. I told him I needed for there to be normalcy there for I didn't start freaking out about being charged for murder. The longer he stayed here the more I felt like he was spending as much time with me before I was sent off forever. Now that he's gone, I am lonely.

As soon as I got out of the shower, the doorbell rang. I ran down the stairs thinking that it was Rachel. She and I had plans to hang out today. She makes me feel normal. She keeps me caught up on a bunch of gossip even though I barely talk to these other people. She basically said screw her job and is just staying in town with me. I told her she could stay with Jax and I, but she doesn't want to be in our way. Well, to put it in her words 'she doesn't want to hear us screwing one another'.

I pulled open the door. I froze as my eyes set upon the black suit. I hadn't seen him in forever. He's still attractive, but I could only remember the last time I saw  him. I'd foolishly naively trusted him and he made me pay for it dearly. Jax went to Fantasy and beat him to a pulp.

Unfortunately, he didn't have a bruise on him at the moment. "Adam."

He stepped inside without waiting for an invitation. "Alana, I've missed you."

I narrowed my eyes at him as I reluctantly shut the door behind him. "Adam, what are you doing here? How did you even know where Jax lived?"

He sighed as he rounded to face me. "It doesn't matter. I'd like some coffee and I will tell you how we can help one another." I shook my head ready to tell him to go to hell when he cut me off before I got started. "Trust me, I have the power to change your fate and make this," he pointed at my ankle cuffs, "disappear forever."

I know I should have kicked him out then and there. But he had a certain twinkle in his eye. Adam seemed like he did the night, he made my life hell. He never once lied to me. He spoke and made it true. I had no reason to doubt him, and I was very curious as to what he would say.

"Give me a minute," I replied.

I headed out the room to make the coffee. Jax had made some earlier so I dumped out the pot, washed it, and started a new one. Jax would be furious if he knew who was in his house. He'd probably want to commit me to a nut house after discovering that I was about to make the man coffee. Hell, something is probably wrong with me. The truth is I am all out of options. I am being tried for murder in less than a month. I haven't even grieved my parents and here I am being charged with poisoning and killing them.

I've earned a little crazy.

I stepped back out in the hall to find Adam sitting on a sofa in the living room. He hadn't bothered to touch the TV or any of the magazines laid out. "How do you take your coffee," I asked sourly. I still despised his treatment of me.

"Black," he answered.

I left and returned with his cup of coffee. I sat opposite of him on a love-seat. "Okay, what's this news? We don't have much time. I'm expecting company."

Adam took his time sipping from the cup. He acted as if he had all the time in the world. He wanted to keep me on edge. "Were you aware that Fantasy has a website?"

I raised an eyebrow as a version of 'seriously'. "No," I answer. Why is he bringing that up? I don't care that much about the place.

He nodded. "Oh, because on this website they have chat rooms. There is an entire forum dedicated to you, the belly dancer girl."
