I was sitting in the police station or more specifically an interrogation room. At least I'm not in lockup which is where Jax and Adam are. Luckily, the police are smart enough to put the both of them in separate cells. Adam told the cops he wanted to press charges against Jax.

He's a fool. As soon as I was out of earshot with him. I gave the police the tapes and everything so now I am sitting here waiting on the detectives to arrive. They went to follow up on the tape. I had patience. I spent a year with Adam. I could wait hours.

Finally, they arrived. it's not the officers I spoke to at first. They're detectives, I knew before they spoke because they're in suits.

"Mrs. Torrey."

"Miss, please." I ask. I never changed my name to Adam's, Alana Stone, disgusting. I like my name just the way it is. Soon, I'd be ole miss.

"Ms. Torrey, I'm Detective Johnson and this is my partner Detective Mitchell."

I bring out my private school learning. "How do you do, detectives? I trust you have brought me great news concerning my soon to be ex-husband."

They both sat down. Detective Johnson started our conversation. "We spent the last few hours going over files on Mr. Stones work and home computer. He had a lot of information about your parents death and every ones roles in it. As you reported, Mr. Carruthers is innocent. Mr. Stone has expressed interest in pressing charges, but I'm sure those will be forgotten. He's being read his rights as we speak."

I smiled as I lied back. Revenge tastes sweet. "When will Jax be set free?"

"He's being freed as we speak," Detective Mitchell stated.

I stood up. There was absolutely no more reason for me to be there. Right as I was being let out of the interrogation room, Detective Johnson stopped me. Miss Torrey, you're very brave for what you've done."

"Or very foolish," I added with a smile. They both understood.

I walked out of the room and spotted Rachel holding my beautiful baby boy. I could've run up and made out with that woman I was so happy. She's the one who told Jax where I was and exactly my plan to get information out of Adam. She knew that I was making a mistake. She saved me.

Jax came into the place and saved me. If he had not been there who knows what could've happened. Plus, if Rachel had not called the police I'm sure Jax would have committed murder. I've never seen him in action like I did yesterday. He was amazing; strong, fit, tactful. He was every bit the man women dream of. He was there to protect me and his child.

I walked over to Rachel and squeezed her and Evan in my arms. I kissed the both of them. "Thank you, sweetheart."

Evan looked up at me and smiled. I kissed his forehead. "Everything taken care of," she asked.

"Yes. That bastard is going to jail for murder one along with the rest of them." She grabbed and squeezed me back. The both of us embraced like we hadn't seen each other in a long time. It was the truth. We had separated for more than a year, but never again.

"Thank you," I say. "You're the best friend anyone could hope for."

She shook her head and rocked Evan in her arms. "You're my sister. I would have went my self and kicked his ass, but I'm a god mom, you see."

I laughed at her. I watched her eyes change direction to somewhere behind me so I turned and there he was. He looked wrinkled in all his clothes. Poor man, at least he didn't seem upset having been in prison. Jax's beautiful gray eyes were on his son, not me. I tried not to be jealous.

I turned back to Evan. "Do you see your daddy, Evan?"

"His names Evan," Jax says when he reaches us.

"Yes. I said that."

"No, you didn't."

"Yes. I did."

"No-"

Rachel cut him off. "How about we get out of the police station? I'm going to transfer all of Evan's things to your car, Jax."

"Thank you, Rachel, for everything."

She nodded to him. I was thrilled. This is the most I've seen Jax and Rachel get along. Jax took Evan from Rachel. He went to his father without complaint. He was a good baby. Jax kissed his forehead and held him close.

"When was he born," he asked me as the two of us walked out.

"March nineteenth, seven forty three in the morning. The labor was painful, but thankfully only lasted four hours."

"I should have been there."

I cringed. "Yes. But because of circumstances you missed it. I'm to blame for that I know. Where does this leave us, Jax?"

A/N: Would you like me to end it in the next chapter with them starting over or would you like for me to write their rocky road to happily ever after?

Please, comment and let me know.

Thank you.
