''Where have you been lately, it's boring without you.'' Alice looked guilty but somehow happy at the same time. It was a look I had never seen before from Alice, she was a brave and honest person.

''I- I've been busy...''  She stuttered. Stuttering too? ''You know what it will be in two days?'' I nodded, it was Alice's birthday and we always did something crazy to celebrate it. ''I'm just talking with your dad about...adoption.'' We both squealed and hugged each other tight as possible.

''So he really is going to adopt you!? We are going to be sisters!'' I screamed until she slapped her hand over my mouth. ''But I think his having second thoughts, He can barely handle one daughter.'' She whispered to me. Within a second my whole world came crashing down. Alice won't be sister? We stared at each other for a moment, her in sadness and me in shock. We stayed like that for a while until Stacey came walking in.

''There's traffic on the bridge so your meeting will be late.''

3 hours later~

The meeting was the most boring thing I have ever experienced in my whole entire life. All I did was sit in a room full of middle aged people in suits talking about the latest clothing.

''I'm sorry, I need the toilet.'' The words quickly left my mouth. Before anyone could excuse me I ran up the stairs and found my room almost immediately. I sat on my bed for a while, thinking about Alice not being my sister. How could my dad do that? He loved Alice as much as I did. He treated her like she was his own daughter and even let her live with us-

A tapping sound from the window interrupted my thoughts. ''Peter?'' I stared at him sitting on my window edge. He was wearing the red and blue suit which I now hated to pieces though the longer I looked at it, the faster I noticed the three long stripes coated in blood on his chest. ''Peter!'' I opened the window allowing him to weakly fall in. He groaned in pain whilst I wrapped his arms around my neck and helped him to fall onto my bed.

''What- What happened?'' I examined the cuts. ''Trust me, the other guy looks worse. It was that lizard guy again.'' He managed to get out. I ran to my draw, collecting all the make-up wipes I could. ''This might sting.'' I mumbled before I began cleaning his chest. Peter squirmed and breathed in deeply. ''Why'd you come here?'' I whispered. He looked at me with a sad expression, he knew what he had put me through and how much it hurt. Clearly he felt the same way.

''I didn't want to lie to y-'' I put my hand to stop him from talking. The stairs outside my room creaked meaning someone was coming. ''Emily? You okay?'' I wasn't sure who it was but it must of been someone from the meeting.

''I'm fine. I'm just- it's...I have my uh, period. Yes, my period. It's just not...good! It's horrible.'' Peter was doing his best not to laugh whilst his face turned as red as his suit!

''Okay.'' The person outside mumbled awkwardly but then again who wouldn't feel awkward after what I just said?

''You need to stop. This isn't your job.'' I begged him quietly returning to his chest. He softly took the cloth from my hands and threw it in the bin; not even looking at it.

''Maybe it is,'' I looked at him confused. ''I gave an equation to somebody. That made all of this possible. I'm the only one who can stop him.'' We stared at each other for a moment with sympathizing looks.

''I'm sorry if I upset you.'' Peter mumbled looking down at the floor. ''Do I look upset now?'' I grinned at him and he soon joined in. Before I knew what was happening, he softly yet quickly cupped my face and leaned in to kiss me passionately. ''No.'' I heard him whisper against my lips. ''Let's get out of here.'' He grinned cheekily against my lips. ''No. I can't someone will know I left.'' I looked down sadly though he continued to smile his gorgeous smile, even with blood and what looked like ash on his face.

''But no one will see you leaving.''
