''You're late!'' Stacey nagged me as soon as I walked into the door. My dad was signing papers for something that I probably didn't care about in his office. ''You have 5 meetings for tomorrow with the press and you need to begin planning for your new clothing line.'' I stared at her in disbelief. Did she not understand that I don't want to work right now?

''Are you even listening-'' I held my hand out to stop her. ''You're fired.''

She looked at me in disbelief. Her mouth moved as she was trying to find the right words to say. Stacey began to talk until I interrupted her one more time. ''I don't care what you say. You're fired. Leave. Now.'' I couldn't believe it. She shuffled over to the door and closed it quietly. I had finally gotten rid of that bitch!

'Choose your own life.' Alice's words echoed through my head. Oh trust me Ali, I will.

''Dad, can we talk for a second?'' He nodded as I sat down on a chair. ''You're fired.'' I quickly said. He looked up at me. ''That's very funny Emily. Did you hear about your meetings tomorrow?'' He shrugged it off. ''Yes but I'm not going. I quit, dad. That's all you are to me! A dad. You keep complaining how you will never be as good as mum though the main reason I loved her is because she wasn't working her ass off every second of the day and she actually talked to me! I don't want you as a manager any more. I don't want to dress up in the sluttiest outfits this world has ever seen and I definitely don't want to be on the front of all the magazines. I'm a teenager dad! My life shouldn't be this way! You can never talk to me ever again if you like but I'm not modelling any more. Mum would love for me to go live with her in England, I'm sure. I don't care any more- I just quit.''

He stared at me for a moment before sighing deeply. ''If that's what you want Emily. No more work just normal school girl Emily, right?'' I nodded at him. ''Okay but you're not going anywhere. I'm just getting better at all this dad stuff.'' He smiled whereas I laughed. He was right, My dad went from never talking to me to being able to show the emotional side of him and being able to accept my choices.

''You fired Stacey yet?'' He glanced into the main room. I nodded at him before he smiled at me. ''Good! Couldn't stand her.'' We laughed and he engulfed me in a warm hug that I'm sure I will get used to.

''You've grown into a great woman, Emily.'' He mumbled into my hair.

''And you've grown into a great dad.'' I grinned.
