The strong impact that the past has on the future has been compared to a river splitting into smaller streams. It isn't that sweet and simple though: It's rough and destructive, almost paralyzing. Everyone carries the past with them, not just their own, but every ancestor, every friend, every stranger on the street, everyone you have happened to connect to in time. You carry all of your past with you and bits and pieces of those who have intertwined in your path. In my line of work it is important to forget all of those connections; However, this time I could not.
