"What about the entrance ceremony? The orientation?" Ochaco Uraraka trembles

"If you're going to become a hero, you don't have time for such leisurely events." The teacher says grimly, with his back to his students.

"U.A.'s selling point is how unrestricted its school traditions are." He continues

"That's also how the teachers run their classes."

Everyone in class 1-A gulps and murmurs between each other with worry plastered on each and every one of their faces.

"You kids have been doing these since junior high, too, right? Physical fitness tests where you weren't allowed to use your Quirks. The country still uses averages taken from results from students not using their Quirks. It's not rational. Well, the Ministry of Education is procrastinating. Bakugo, you finished at the top of the practical exam, right?"

Bakugo (Kacchan) doesn't answer and starts to look very awkward while everybody else turns and looks at him.

"In junior high, what was your best result for the softball throw?" The teacher asks Bakugo

"67 metres," Bakugo replies with annoyance in his voice.

"Then, try doing it with your Quirk. You can do whatever you want as long as you stay in the circle. Hurry up. Give it all you've got." The teacher prompts

As Bakugo gets himself prepared, Deku couldn't help but start overthinking this whole process, it was too early to start using his Quirk now. He had been using it to train with All Might all night last night. He had also been using it for stupid things like transforming into a gorilla so he could open the pickle jar easier as after the training, he was absolutely starving. What was he thinking? Was he an idiot? Clearly, he was. Why didn't he just rest and restore his Quirk instead of over-practising again?? If only he had known that there would be a test the following day he wouldn't have stayed up all night using his Quirk. He was going to fail the test. And therefore get himself kicked out of U.A. He knew it. This was all a set up because his teacher didn't like him. He knew he didn't like him. He constantly gave Deku weird looks as if he suspected Deku of being behind something.

The more Deku started thinking, the more he started panicking and losing control of reality as he was so wrapped up in his own thoughts he wasn't even paying attention to Bakugo doing his test.

'Oh no.' Deku thought. 'It must be the reason. I can't be. How would he know? What if he's already found out? Then I'm finished! I can't let anyone find out!'

Deku was literally shaking at the thought that the reason why his teacher doesn't like him was that he found out Deku's dark secret. Deku wasn't thinking rationally at this point. A million thoughts were now racing through his mind, his palms were sweaty and damp and his face was flustered. 'I can't let anyone know about my past. They'll surely put me in prison. I'm a bad person... Nobody will want to be friends with me if this secret gets out. I've never been able to live with myself since the incident happened. So for the secret to spill and therefore make me an outcast would be the worst thing for me ever. I'm a bad person... I'm a bad person... But...but...' Deku had tears in his eyes

"It was an accident!!" He accidentally shouted out loud.

Everyone including the teacher stopped and turned around to look at him. Bakugo was frozen in time, just about to start his test, but was now staring at Deku in confusion.

Mortified, Deku apologised profusely for yelling out loud like that. He was so overwhelmed by his thoughts that he had yelled his last one out loud for everyone to hear.

His teacher glared at him for a second but then turned around and continued with the test.

Bakugo prepares himself for the test, mumbling words too quiet for the rest of the class to hear.
