Peg & Sides:

This Peg was drawn attached to the violin in an unrealistic way to introduce fantasy (which is a similar theme to surrealism) into my board

Belly:

I outlined the frame of the Violin's Belly and the inside of the F Hole to give the effect of how music comes to life when the violin creates sounds

I outlined the frame of the Violin's Belly and the inside of the F Hole to give the effect of how music comes to life when the violin creates sounds. I used a black 0.1 Fine Line Uni-Pin Pen to create this piece.

F Hole & Strings:

These F Holes were drawn being reduced in size, curvy, and in abnormal positions to introduce surrealism into my board

These F Holes were drawn being reduced in size, curvy, and in abnormal positions to introduce surrealism into my board. It was drawn by using an HB graphite pencil and 12 Derwent skintone watercolour pencils.

I drew musical notes with a black 0.8 Fine Line Uni-Pin Pen on the strings of the violin because the angle of the photograph made the strings of the violin look like the lines on a musical sheet.

Peg Box & Snail Scroll:

I added a snail (secondary source – Google 30/12/17) to the Scroll of the violin because the Scroll has a curvy shape which looked similar to a snail's shell

I added a snail (secondary source – Google 30/12/17) to the Scroll of the violin because the Scroll has a curvy shape which looked similar to a snail's shell. There is also a similarity in speed. For example, the music could be as slow as a snail's crawling which can have the effect of music making time move slower. The snail was sketched with an HB graphite pencil on a tracing paper.
