As light started to seep through the curtains Jacob yawned feeling the warmth emitting from beside him. With his eyes adjusting to the light, he glanced sideways to see Connie still fast asleep beside him, huddled into him. Rolling to one side, he shuffled down to be level with her as he brushed her hair from her face.
Scrunching up her face he smiled as she groaned. Reaching her hands above her head, the covers slipped down a little to reveal her scarcely dressed chest. His eyes fell and she was quick to notice, dropping her hands back to the covers lifting it. "You could be a little more subtle Jacob..." She turned onto her back looking away from him, conscious of the way she now looked after everything.
Sighing he leaned up to try and look at her. "Connie-" "Just leave it." Huffing, he moved an arm over her waist before pulling her towards him. "Jacob-" "Shut it Connie, for five minutes." She remained on her back, closing her eyes as he moved the cover down enough to reveal the small raised scar. Delicately he ran his fingertips over it causing her to inhale. "It doesn't change how beautiful you are sweet cheeks, just proves to me how strong you truly are." Opening her eyes again, the tears stung at her eyes before they fell. Leaning closer he kissed her forehead before wiping her cheeks.
"I didn't even notice it at first, can't say it's what caught my attention." She rolled her eyes as he smirked feeling her push his hands away. "Can't blame a guy. It's been a long time since I've been able to look at you like this... I never could get enough." Catching his hand in hers, she laced her fingers through his before turning towards him a little more. She crossed a leg over his as he looped an arm around her waist.
His thumb ran gently over the back of her hand slowly as she let her eyes close for a brief moment. "How's the job in London? Charlie mentioned you'd been working." Nodding gently she half smiled. "It's alright, it's not Holby and it's taking a lot more out of me but it's a new challenge. Not to mention the number of staff already trying their luck-" She watched his jaw tighten at the mention of that.
Moving from where she lay, she pushed her hands to his chest so that he lay on his back before she straddled his waist. "You can stop being like that, before you say anything none of them have even got close enough. For some reason I can't bring myself to be like that with anyone but you." Running his hands over her thighs he looked up to her as her hair fell over her shoulder. The darkness of it contrasted against her porcelain skin. Her eyes were bright and seemed to sparkle in the morning sun, her lips plump and a brighter shade of pink. He couldn't stop looking at her, taking in every minute and insignificant detail.
She remained where she was for a moment letting her hands fall to his chest tracing over his tattoos. "You know you never did tell me the reason behind all these-" "It's pretty boring really. Young, naive and stupid." Connie scoffed lifting her eyes for a split second. "So all you've done is aged then?" He smirked sarcastically before moving to pin her to the mattress.
"You drive me crazy, but you'd already know that wouldn't you?" She smiled pressing her hands against his as she weaved her fingers with his. "It's the one thing that always kept you coming back though wasn't it?" He laughed lightly before loosening his hold on her to lay back down.
Rolling to her side she looked over his chest once more. "I was looking because I've been considering it myself." Pulling a face, he turned his head to look at her. "Really?" Nodding she moved to let her head fall against his chest. "Ever since they told me it was gone I thought about getting something. Remind me of everything I beat. It sounds ridiculous now that I say it-" "No, I think you should... Connie Beauchamp getting a tattoo. Now that is something I'd have to see." Nudging his side she made herself comfortable with him as he hugged her gently.
