Maria and Jason sat starting at each other in shock. It did make sense though. They had the same eyes, same hair, well almost the same hair. Their personalities were similar and they had the same mother.
All of a sudden they heard something fall upstairs. All three of them jumped and ran up stairs. On the floor was a diary open to the first page.
"September 25, 1996"
My dearest diary,
I am two months pregnant with a baby boy and I am worried. I am struggling financially, and mentally. I don't know if I can raise my own baby right now. I have found someone who can help me. He is very sweet and generous."
Jason picked up the book after he read the page aloud. He looked around with a weird thought in his head. His thoughts started to race, trying to put the puzzle together. Jason glanced at Maria and then at Brian. He was truly lost now. Had his mother left him for a man she met? Had she left him for another baby?
