ethan: "so, how are you feeling?"

hailey: "i'm okay.. my mom and isaac are a little bit
shaken still... but we're fine. isaac kept harrison at
harry and avery's mom's for a couple extra days to
make sure everything is safe."

ethan: "that's probably a good thing. no five year old
should ever have to deal with that if something
happens again.

"but hey... i'm glad you're okay."

hailey: "yeah.. thank you for coming over last night."

ethan: "of course, hail. i'm always going to be
there."

hailey: "right."

"well-"

ethan: "- okay i'm sorry but are we not going to
talk about what happened?"

hailey: "w-what? what do you mean?"

ethan: "hailey, seriously? we can't just pretend that
the kiss didn't happen. sorry, maybe i should say
intense fucking make out?"

hailey: "why can't we?"

ethan: "i don't know, maybe because we're
broken up? maybe because you're the one
that kissed me? maybe because it meant the
fucking world to me and it kind of made the
already impossible job of getting over you,
even more impossible?"

hailey: "it wasn't a big deal..."

ethan: "yes it was a fucking big deal hailey, damn it!
you can't just fuck around with me like this. you
can't keep playing with my emotions."

hailey: "you mean like how you played with mine?"

ethan: "this is a different situation now, and you
know that. you're not being fair."

hailey: "no, YOU'RE not being fair... look, i'm
sorry for kissing you, but i was upset and
overwhelmed and you were there and it happened.
it was harmless."

ethan: "so you're saying it meant nothing to you?
that it really was just a meaningless hookup; just
a way for you to forget about what happened? are
you telling me it didn't make your heart beat out of
your fucking chest like i know it always used to, or like
it does for me? are you saying it didn't make your body
tense, just like you do whenever you're dying for
me to take care of it? cause i fucking doubt that. and
i doubt it meant nothing to you."

hailey: "fuck... um. shit. wait, what was that mom?
you need me to come downstairs and- and, v-vacuum
the, um, driveway? you need me to hang up right now, immediately? got it."

ethan: "hailey that's not going to work this t- hailey?"
