My light

The room was quiet, only Yuu's sobs could be heard, full of pain and longing for what he lost...It couldn't be over like this -no it wasn't over!

He would find Mika no matter where he had gone; he would even storm in the vampire capital in order to see him again! But...right now, Yuu needed to mourn what he lost, what was his...he was finally human again so why -why did he feel so empty?

Yuu already knew why...without Mika to be happy with him, how could he be happy? How could he feel anything but extreme sadness? How could he not be surrounded by complete darkness when his light was gone?

"Yuu...chan?", a familiar voice echoed in the room, interrupting Yuu's sobs

It was like a beacon of light finally appeared in Yuu's endless darkness

"why...are you crying?", Mika was holding a book that he had taken from the library and had thought about reading in the living room but...when he walked in there Yuu was breaking down. Was it his fault? How could he make Yuu-chan so sad?

Great Mika, just great! You fucked up again!, thought Mika

Yuu couldn't find good enough words to express what he was feeling now...he was immersed in joy but he was mad -mad at Mika for leaving him, mad at himself for making Mika leave and most importantly mad at fate, for making him fall for his family...

There. He finally admitted it, he couldn't run anymore. But right now, that didn't matter. Mika was there and everything was alright.

Yuu run towards Mika, immediately starting punching his chest...Yuu's punches where weak and small but transferred his emotions to Mika while tears where streaming down his face
One after the other his punches were weak but their frequency started decreasing the more time passed and the more Yuu was crying

"leave me?", Yuu looked up at Mika's surprised face and burried his teary face into Mika's chest, hugging him

Mika was surprised, did Yuu care about him that much? The only thing that mattered now was broken Yuu in his arms...Mika dropped his book and wrapped his arms around Yuu's warm body

"don't ever leave me again", Yuu silently said

"don't you dare leave me ever again", he repeated

"I won't...I promise that I'll never ever leave you", Mika whispered

They stayed in that position for some time, not caring about the people watching or how long they stayed together...The only thing that mattered were them and only them

"Aww what a heartfelt reunion~", teased them Shinoa

"shut up shinoa", replied Yuu still in Mika's arms

"Mika-san don't you think you should tell us what happened?" asked Mitsuba

"yeah, Yuu came in here saying that you left...Don't you think you at least owe him an explanation?", Narumi added

"you are right...I am sorry. I shall clear things up for all of you. Let us at least sit down", Mika proceeded to say

"Yuu-chan...You can let go now, I'm not going anywhere. Don't worry"

Yuu was still hesitant to pull out of the  embrace. He was scared that once he let go, Mika would disappear again...but he complied with Mika's request

Yuu sat directly next to Mika, their legs touching...He was still being very clingy but could you blame him? He almost lost one of his most precious things and it was his fault

"so...i did leave." Mika started saying

Yuu's heart stopped for a second. Mika indeed did leave him for some time...He grabbed Mika's arm and intertwined it with his own -his Mika was not going anywhere ever again

"I had told Krul to give him a false estimate of the time it would take to heal him as I didn't want Yuu-chan to try to stop me...but I couldn't. I just couldn't be separated from Yuu-chan again...Who cares if he doesn't need me? I sure as hell need him.

So, after we were a bit far from the manor, I changed my mind and came back. I admit I had forgotten about the note so I didn't think you'd actually believe I had left...then I found you here and promised to myself I'd never leave Yuu-chan again"

"you better not...I won't let you! I won't let you 'cause I need you too -maybe even more than you need me", whispered Yuu

if only you knew, thought Mika

"haha I don't think so, Yuu-chan", replied Mika

important notes about the chapter:
I made yuu clingy coz we don't see vulnerable Yuu often and it was something I wanted to explore. When he was like 'shut up shinoa' I imagined him being more quiet than annoyed, kinda like a child?
