MEANING OF SONG
'Heavy' is a song which represents the inability, or rather unwillingness of an individual to get over and move on from events and thoughts in their life which brings them sadness and depression.
The individual knows they can get over it and still choose to drag around the memories with them since they've become used to the heaviness it brings to their lives.
Before the production of this album began, the band members used to meet every week and just talk about all the problems and issues in their respective lives. The reason they decided to bring a female vocalist in this song is to show POVs of more than one person, since everyone goes through something like this.
