My phone buzzed and it's a text from the broad shoulders guy.

Broad Shoulders: get ready :)

Me: for what?

Broad Shoulders: hmm

He didn't reply after that, he left me hanging. I shoved my phone into my navy blazer pocket and put my head on my desk, trying to take a nap.

Actually, I have a crush for Jeon Wonwoo since middle school, which had been for four years but I gave up since the last two months. I don't know why but I just did.

RING! RING! RING!

The bell rang telling that recess is over. Now, it's math time. Mr. Shin came in and told us to partner up to solve the equations that we just learnt yesterday together.

I hate it so much when we have to partner up because I usually ended up with Chaeri. I'm not very close with her so it's kinda boring to be with her.

I looked at my right side and saw Wonwoo pushing Mingyu away. Mingyu protested but at the end, he agreed and moved to another seat. Wonwoo suddenly flashed me a smile for the first time in forever.

I didn't hesitate to smile back.

"So, can we solve the equations together?" He asked and I just nodded with a small smile. He moved Mingyu's chair closer to mine and put the paper on my desk.

We started to solve the equations together. And, I didn't realise that we even shared some laughter together.

But why did he choose to partner up with me? Like, he have Mingyu to be partner with and they're always together in anything but why did he choose me. That is super weird.

As the class ended, Wonwoo gave me thumbs up with a smile before walking back to his seat. I was sitting beside the left window of the class while he was sitting beside the right window of the class. See, our seats are even far away from each other.

But I don't know how Mingyu ended up sitting beside me.

So yeah, I was walking to home alone and my phone buzzed.

Broad Shoulders: so

Broad Shoulders: i see u being partner with wonwoo to solve the math equations 😏

Me: eh?

Me: how did u know?

Broad Shoulders: i have my own ways

Me: -,-

Me: can u pls give me a better reason?

Me: like

Me: 'i have my own ways' are the most preposterous reason ever 😒

Broad Shoulders: wow u sure like big words

Me: duh 🙄

Broad Shoulders: then dont u think that.. he like u too?

Me: ani

Me: why would i think that?

Broad Shoulders: duh

Broad Shoulder: he sat like far away from u but he choose u to partner with 🤷🏻‍♂️

Me: oh

Me: maybe he's fed up to let mingyu be his partner 🤷🏻‍♀️

Broad Shoulders: how nonsense that thought is 🙄

Me: geez

Broad Shoulders: didnt ur conscience said something about it?

Broad Shoulders: u know

Broad Shoulders: mind and conscience are different so

Broad Shoulders: listen to ur conscience :)

Me: my conscience isnt working bc it wants me to think of it by my own

Broad Shoulders: then, follow your instinct :)

Me: whats the difference between conscience and instinct?

Me: arent they're the freaking same?

Broad Shoulders: uhh no

Broad Shoulders: kinda the same but is a bit different

Broad Shoulders: conscience is what your heart says while instinct is..

Broad Shoulders: wait ure right

Broad Shoulders: it's quite the same

Me: 🙄

Broad Shoulders: okay nevermind

Me: but seriously

Me: how did u know that i solved the equations with wonwoo earlier?

Me: like

Me: are u stalking me 24/7 👀

Broad Shoulders: i was somewhere nearer

Broad Shoulders: but somewhere 'nearer' doesnt mean that im in your class

Me: i dont get it ;-;

Broad Shoulders: lets just say..

Broad Shoulders: i can see whatever u and wonwoo did without u guys knowing 🙂

Me: okay your sentence are fine

Me: but the emoji make it sounds creepy asf

Broad Shoulders: u know, wonwoo started a joke earlier to make u laugh

Broad Shoulders: dont u see how obvious it is that he likes u

Me: he's just telling me a joke
