Chapter 19

Colby's POV

I woke up with sam laying on my chest. I couldn't stop thinking about what would've happened if he jumped...

Sam kept shifting in his sleep. I got up softly making him not wake up.

I walked downstairs and didn't see my moms car here. I saw a note on the fridge

'I went to the doctors love you sweetie- Mom'

I hope shes okay...

She's gonna die soon Colby...

Shut up brain

She's gonna go to heaven and your stuck here ...

"SHUT UP!" I yelled. I slid down my wall crying. I heard feet running down the stairs and they came running giving me a hug.

"Are you okay princess?" Sam asked.

"Yeah... Just thinking about my mom..." I said.

"I'm sorry..." He said.

"Its okay..."

All of a sudden the door opened and my mom walked in with tears in her eyes.

"Mom?" I cried going up to her.

"It hurts Colby..." My mom said falling on me.

"Mo-mom what hurts?" I asked.

"Everything.... I love you Colby... take care of him sam pl-

She didn't finish her sentence as she felt limp on me.

"Mo-mom?" I cried.

"MOM!?!?!?!?" I screamed.

I sobbed with my mom in my arms.

Sam was calling 911 while I held her in my arms.

The ambulance came and took her while I rode with sam.

I was crying the whole way there... My mother is dead... No she cant be ill wake up tomorrow to my mom smiling at me and telling me to have a good day at school...

Sam had tears in his eyes when we got there... We sat in the waiting room for what seemed like hours until a doctor came out.

"Colby brock?"

I stood up with sam and walked over.

"She didn't make it Colby.. I'm sorry." The doctor said looking down.

I was in shock... Shes gone forever.

Sam put his hand on my shoulder but I shrugged it off and ran outside and kept on running.

I could hear sam yelling for me and chasing after me...

Do it Colby...

I cant take it anymore... I have to do it.

I ran to the cliff and stood on the edge.

"COLBY!!??!" Sam yelled.

I looked behind me and saw a crying sam.

"I'm sorry sam... I cant take it anymore." I cried looking at the water below me.

"I need you Colby don't do this..."

"You can have your old life back... the most popular guy in school.. and you wont have to deal with me....." I said.

"Colby plz... You don't understand... I love you..."

"I love you to sam... I cant live in a world knowing that I could've helped you or my mom.... IM sorry but this is goodbye..."

"COLBY NO!"
