Chapter 21

Sam's POV

I woke up to no one beside me... I miss you Colby

I always feel like hes here but then hes not and now I have to go to school without seeing him. I got out of bed getting a big sweatshirt on and black jeans.

I went downstairs only to see beer bottles everywhere so I just walked out of the house and went to my car.

I sat down it the seat and just broke down in tears...

"I need you Colby... I cant take it without you..." I cried.

"Without you I'm nothing."

I heard a whisper.

"Hello?" I asked looking around my car.

I heard another whisper and it sounded like Colby.

"Colby?" I saw a shadow in the passenger seat.

"I love you sam...."

"Colby?!?!? is that you?" I asked crying.

The shadow disappeared and I just sat back in my seat crying.

I started the car and went off to school. All I could think of was getting in a car wreck.

I parked my car and got out of it going into the school.

"Hey sam. I heard your lover jumped." Todd said.

I clenched my jaw.

"I hope he likes hell."

I turned around tackiling todd.

"HE IN AN ANGEL AND HE JUMPED BECAUSE OF HIS MOM PASSING AWAY AND YOU!" I yelled punching him again and again till there was blood on my hands.

Everyone was around us. I looked at todd... His nose was broken he had two black eyes and there was blood everywhere.

"MR. GOLBACH!" A teacher yelled pulling me off of todd.

"NEVER TALK BAD ABOUT HIM AGAIN!" I yelled pushing the teacher off of me and running.

I went to my car and drove off. I stopped by colbys house to see police.

I got out.

"Mr.? " I asked.

"Yes?"

"I'm sam golbach I was a very close friend of colbys and I was just wondering if I could take a look at his room.." I said.

"Oh uh yes you may son." He said letting me in.

I walked to colbys room and emediatly started crying.

"Oh Colby" I cried.

I layed on his bed and just cried.

"I love you Colby. How's heaven? I hope ur having fun with your mom." I cried.

"I'm here with you sam." I heard someone whisper.

"Colby?" I then saw a figure sit on the bed.

It looked at me and I could see it was Colby.

"Colby!" I yelled.

"You can see me?" He said.

"I can. Oh Colby I miss you." I said.

"I'm sorry Sammy." he said looking down.

"Why?"

"Why what?" He asked. By now he was fully there. He had black hair and fully black clothes.

"Why did you jump?"

He looked down.

"I cant remember anything except feeling the water hit me." He said.

"Oh.." I said.

"I'm sorry sam. I really am I chose you over heaven."

"What?" I asked.

"Someone came up to me when I died and said do you wish to go to heaven or stay."

"You chose me?"

"Yes cause I love you and I'm sorry that I hurt you." He said crying.

I gave him a hug he was so cold.

"I love you Colby."

"I love you to sam."

"What are they gonna do to my house?" he asked.

"I think they are selling it. But I'm gonna take some of your stuff." I said.

I got up grabbing a picture of us, His stuffed koala, and his pink sweater.

"My koala!"

"Yeah come one home with me."

He followed me into my car. I drove home. My parents aren't home so I went upstairs to my room. I put his stuff on my bed and went to my dresser to get a locket out.

"I was gonna give this to you before you know." I said giving it to him.

It had a picture of us in it and it said onward and upward.

He gave me a hug.

"I love you sam." He said.

I put it on him.

"Onward and upward." I said.

We layed down together and I fell asleep.

"I'm sorry sam... I love you." Colby said before I fell asleep.
