 She had been the way she was for such a long time, she almost couldn't remember what it was like to be ordinary. But she had never been entirely ordinary.

 And now here she was, alone in her castle, isolated from the world. It was better, though, that she were locked away. All they would see was a monster.

 There had to be someone, anyone, whom she could lure to the castle to break the curse. If she could only find someone who would just love her, so that she would know how to love...

 She went to the mirror in her wing of the castle, the one she kept hanging on the wall. She pulled off the cover and quickly turned away from it, not wanting to see her own reflection.

 "Show me the one," she said. "Show me someone who can break this curse upon me. Please."

 She looked up at the mirror. The image had changed from her own reflection to someone else's, a man whom she could only assume was the one.
