~{Shino X Reader}~ I'm so glad I met you~

~{Chapter 6}~

    You look back to see a big dog with Kiba riding on its back and Shino right beside them. You smile at Shino and he waves. You look ahead and you noticed that Kurenai-sensei is way ahead of you guys so you start to speed up. Shino did the same as you and Kiba as well. Hinata was basically already ahead.

    Once you caught up to Kurenai-sensei, you asked her "How far are we?"

    "Just a little longer and we should be there." She looked at you and smiled.

    "Alright." You smiled back at her and fell back with Hinata.

    "What did she say?"

    "'Just a little longer and we should be there' is what she said," you told Hinata.

    You noticed a movement beside you and looked at Hinata. Hinata noticed it too. You sped up to Kurenai and told her in a low voice you and Hinata noticed movement to the left of us. She nodded and fell back with you and Hinata. You looked to the left and saw some orange with a slight blonde. You sighed.

    "It's Naruto," you whispered to Kurenai and Hinata. Hinata's face heated up.

    Kurenai-sensei sighed and jumped to the left really quick then back holding Naruto by his collar.

    "What do you think your doing," she asked.

    "I heard you guys were on a mission and I thought that I'd come with you guys!" He was trying to get loose from Kurenai's grip.

    She sighed and let him go, then we headed out again. "We don't have time to ask questions, we must hurry."

~{Time skip}~

    Once we all got there you started scolding Naruto.

    "What do you think you're doing?! It's a tracking mission! Do you even have anything to use for tracking someone?!" You asked.

    "Eheh... Well..." He had that stupid smile on his face.

    "You really haven't changed a bit, huh?" You sighed and rubbed your face.

    You and Naruto have grown up together. It doesn't look like he changed a bit ever since you guys were young. Would explain why you were so chill and weren't new to the name when someone mentioned it. Besides, he was in the same boat as you when you were younger. Avoided.

    You shook your head and started looking around the scene. Kiba was sniffing around with Akumaru and Hinata was with Naruto watching him. Shino was scouting in the distance, he sent a bug in every direction hoping of finding something.

    As you looked around you found a small piece of clothing that was caught on a branch. Sharp eyes I see.

    "Kiba! Akumaru!" You called them over and took the cloth.

    Kiba and Akumaru came over to you and took the cloth sniffing it.

    "Anything?" You asked, hoping they found some trail.

    Kiba and Akumaru both looked in the same direction.

    "I'm taking that as a yes," you rolled your eyes and called over Hinata who looked like she was about to faint if she was with Naruto for another second. Luckily, you saved her.

    "We found the direction the inventor might have went. Can you use your byakugan to see a bit further?" You smiled.

    She nodded and looked in the direction Kiba and Akumaru were looking at.

    "Byakugan!" She shouted.

    "....I see something, it's some type of building, that's where their probably keeping the inventor!" She turned to us and smiled.

    "Good job you 3," Kurenai smiled.

    Akumaru barked.

    "You too, Akumaru." She giggled.

    Shino's bugs returned to him. "We must be careful If were going over there, my bugs found some traps along the way," he said.

    Kurenai nodded, "Nice job Shino, we are going to have to go over there, to give specific details on their location and how many enemies are inside." She turned to Naruto. "And you are in big trouble, sir," she glared at him.

    "Oh, uh, me? But!"

    "Just wait until the Hokage hears about what you did!" She sighed and turned back to us, "We should take a rest and go back at it tomorrow morning though, it's almost night," she nodded.

    ~{Time skip}~

    As everyone got done setting up for the night you and Shino sat next to each other near the fire as Naruto and Kiba started arguing over the stupidest things and Hinata just watched them trying to calm them both down.

    You laid your head on Shino's shoulder as he held your hand.

    "Do you think Kiba and Naruto will ever stop?" You watched the fire.

   He shrugged.

    "I hate it when you don't answer my questions..." You closed your eyes, tired.

    "And I hate it when you ask me questions I can't answer..." He wrapped an arm around you.

    "Whatever, bug boy," you smirked and yawned.

    "Now we're using nicknames?" He sighed.

    "Yep," you said and snuggled into him.

    "Hmm..." he said.

    You giggled a little, "Night, Buggy,"

    "Night, {Nickname of your choice}," he laid his head on top of yours.

    You fell asleep to the sound of arguing and fire crackling, and the nice embrace of your favorite man in the world.

    You could live with this...
