^ how I picture Harry in this chapter
Harry's POV
I️ finally told her, and it's all I've been thinking about. I've been feeling this way ever since I️ left New York, but I️ was too scared to mention anything. It's one of those things that once you say it, you can't do anything about it. You can't take it back, you can't say "just kidding". It changes everything. And you just kind of have to hope for the person to feel the same way, otherwise your relationship won't really ever be the same.
I'm so glad she feels the same way. She could have just not responded, or she could have just nodded or something. She could have said she didn't feel the same, or that she wasn't there yet. She didn't need to say it back. But, she did. And I️ couldn't be happier.
It breaks me to see her so down with all the media attention. I'm going to do anything in my power to make her happy, to protect her.
I'm currently at my apartment, and she's at hers. We've been spending the week together, just doing random things to spend time together. I've had some team meetings and rehearsals for upcoming events, and she's been working on her resume. She even has an interview scheduled for next week at a smaller publishing center. I talked to my buddy Mark, who is going to offer her an interview at NBC as well. I haven't told her, because I don't want her to think that she got the job simply because of me.
As I'm making myself a sandwich for lunch, I get a text from Avery.
Avery: What are you doing right now?
Me: Making myself a sandwich.
Avery: So nothing?
Me: So nothing.
Avery: Please come over
Me: Is everything alright?
Avery: I just miss you. I haven't seen you in a whole day!!
I chuckle and smirk, happy that she misses me as much as I miss her.
Me: It's been too long. On my way.
Avery: Finish your sandwich
Me: Don't tell me what to do.
Avery: What are you going to do about it? ;)
With that I suck in a deep breath, and put my sandwich in the fridge for later. I grab my coat and leave, immediately driving to Avery's. It's fucking cold out, being 33° or some shit. It's insane. I get there quickly, and am let up by the front desk with no problem. They know who I am by now, since I'm always with Av.
I get upstairs and knock on her door, which she answers after a couple seconds.
"Oh! I didn't think you were actually comin-" Avery starts, but I cut her off with a kiss. She is taken by surprise but immediately kisses back, our lips molding against each other's. She wraps her arms behind my neck, as we walk in and shut the door. I'm pull back and cup her cheeks.
"I just missed you, and you're a tease," I state, pecking her lips again.
Some color rises to her cheeks, and she shyly plays with the back of my hair. She hums and kisses my lips. I take off my coat while anticipating her response, leaving me in a long sleeved white t shirt.
"I don't know what you're talking about," she says quietly, and I peck her lips.
"You know exactly what I'm talking about. Avery," I whisper, causing her to bite her lips. She raises an eyebrow then leans in, smashing her soft lips against mine once more.
